Born Bradley Alan Miller on the 12th April 1976 in Kendallville, Indiana USA, Brad is a retired basketball center/power forward who spent 14 seasons in the NBA playing for the Charlotte Hornets, Chicago Bulls, Indiana Pacers, Sacramento Kings, Houston Rockets and Minnesota Timberwolves

Have you ever wondered how rich Brad Miller is, as of mid- 2017? According to authoritative sources, it has been estimated that Miller’s net worth is as high as $45 million, an amount earned through his successful career as a basketball player, which was active from 1998 until 2012.

Although born in Kendallville, Indiana, Brad went to Maine Central Institute in Pittsfield, Maine, but after matriculation he returned home and enrolled Purdue University. In his first year in college, he was a part of the universities team, the Boilermakers, and averaged 6.5 points and 5.4 rebounds per game. The following year, his numbers improved, as he averaged 9.6 points with 5.5 rebounds per game – The Boilermakers reached the NCAA Second Round that season. Brad continued to improve, and in his third year he had double digits points on average, with 14.3, and also improved his rebounding skills, securing 8.3 balls per game. The senior year saw another improvement, with an average of17.2 points and 8.8 rebounds, finishing his college career with 1,772 points, 862 rebounds, and 262 assists.

The start of his professional career was postponed due to the NBA lockout, and as a result he joined Italian team Bini Vaiggi Livorno of Serie A, for three months, before he was signed by the Charlotte Hornets as a free agent, since he had no luck in the draft that year. In his rookie season, Brad played in 38 games, and averaged only 6.3 points and 3.1 rebounds per game, however, he had several extraordinary performances, including a season high 32 points and 13 rebounds against the Boston Celtics, including 25 points with a 100% shooting from the field and line as well. Brad’s contract expired in 2000, and he was picked up by the Chicago Bulls. In the first season for his new team, Brad played in 57 games, 45 of which were starts. His performance in the league became better, with 8.9 points and 7.4 rebounds per game, and the following season 12.7 points and 8.4 rebounds with 2.1 assists per game.

He appeared in 48 games for the Bulls in 2001-2002 season, before he was traded to the Indiana Pacers in February – adding to his net worth – finishing the season with 28 appearances for the Pacers, in which he had his career high at the time of 15.1 points, while also contributing with 7.9 rebounds. In 2002-2003 he was the first center for the Pacers and wore the jersey on 73 occasions, scoring 13.1 points per game, which earned him his first All-Star appearance.

However, following the end of the 2002-2003 season, Brad was sent to the Sacramento Kings, after signing a new contract with the Pacers, but was a part of the sign-and-trade, in which the Kings sent Hedo Türkoğlu to San Antonio Spurs, San Antonio traded Danny Ferry to Indiana and Indiana traded Ron Mercer to San Antonio. Brad later admitted that he wanted to stay in Indiana, but on suggestion of his agent, he agreed to be sent to the Kings, since the contract he received from the Kings, comes only once for a player like Brad, according to his agent.

Brad continued to improve season after season, and in 2004-2005 he averaged 15.6 points per game with 9.3 rebounds, having already earned his second All-Star appearance, thanks to his double-double average with 14.1 points, and 10.3 rebounds. However, form 2006-2007, Brad’s form began to decline, although in 2009 he posted a 30 points game with 22 rebounds, against the Golden State Warriors.

Nevertheless, the Kings traded him to the Bulls, and he led them to the playoffs, but they lost in the first round to the Boston Celtics. He played with the Bulls one more season, before his contract expired and he became a new player for the Houston Rockets on a contract worth $15 million over three years, which increased his wealth to a large degree.

Miller played in 60 games that season for the Rockets, averaging 6.4 points with 3.7 rebounds, but had several notable games, including scoring a season high 23 points alongside eight rebounds, and dished five assists as well. Unfortunately, this wasn’t enough to keep him in Houston, as he was traded during the Draft 2011 to the Minnesota Timberwolves in exchange for Donatas Motiejunas, with Johnny Flynn as well coming the Rockets way. He played for Minnesota 15 times, before he was traded to the New Orleans Hornets in the 2011-2012 season, but prior to the start of 2011-2012 season, Brad underwent micro-fracture knee surgery on his left knee, and was doubtful for the start of the season. He eventually debuted for the Timberwolves on the 29th January, but his performance was nowhere near the quality of the NBA league, so he was sent to the Hornets, who immediately traded him to the Phoenix Suns, and then was waived by the NBA franchise from the Arizona capital, soon after which Miller announced his retirement.

Aside from a club career, Brad had success with the USA national team, winning bronze medals in the World Championships in Greece 1998, and Japan 2006.

Regarding his personal life, Brad Miller has been married to Abby Robinson since 2010 – they have a daughter.
