Alexander Arthur Van Halen was born on the 8^th May 1953 in Nijmegen, the Netherlands. He is best known around the world for being the co-founder of Van Halen, one of the most successful American hard rock bands, in which he is the drummer. He is also recognized as an ordained minister. He has been an active member of the entertainment industry since the mid- 1970s.
