Richard Vershaun Seymour was born on 6 October 1979, in Gadsden, South Carolina USA, and is a retired professional American Football player, best known to play in the National Football League (NFL) as a defensive end from 2001 to 2012 for the New England Patriots, and so appeared in seven Pro Bowls.
