Kyle Orton was born on the 14th November 1982 in Altoona, Iowa USA, and is best known for having been an American professional football player in the position of quarterback, who played in the National Football League (NFL) for the team Kansas City Chiefs. His professional career was active from 2005 to 2011.

Kyle Orton was raised in his hometown in Iowa, where he attended elementary school. Later, he moved to Pleasant Hill to continue his education at the Southeast Polk High School, where he started playing football in school’s team. Soon after, Kyle Orton’s professional career in football started with the 2005 NFL Draft, in which he was selected by the Chicago Bears, as the 106th overall pick. He didn’t expect to play at all his first season, however, an injury kept Rex Grossman, the starting quarterback, sidelined for the majority of the 2005 season. His numbers were quite impressive: in his 15 starts, Orton recorded ten victories and only 4 losses, which was the fourth best result for a rookie in the Bears franchise history, behind players such as Ben Roethlisberger, Joe Flacco, and Russell Wilson.
Despite the success he had in his rookie year, Orton didn’t see any playing time in the 2006 season. Nevertheless, he chose not to surrender, and regained his starting position in 2007 and maintained it in 2008, however, his results weren’t quite what Jerry Angelo, the team’s general manager, expected and he was then traded to the Denver Broncos in 2009.
His numbers were back, and the Broncos started their season with 6-0 record, but midway through the season, he suffered an ankle injury which kept him sidelined for a couple of game, but returning better than ever, and in his first season with the Broncos he had 21 touchdown passes and 12 interceptions with an 86.8 QB rating. For the 2010 season, he was named as the starting quarterback, and also earned a contract extension, which only increased his net worth. He finished the 2010 season with 20 touchdown and 9 interceptions. The next season, was pretty bad for him, ending with 1-4 record before he was replaced by Tim Tebow, and Orton was eventually waived by the Broncos on the 22nd November 2011.
Before he retired, Orton played for Kansas City Chiefs, Dallas Cowboys and Buffalo Bills, he wanted to continue his career after the 2014 season, but he was unable to do so because of several injuries he had suffered during his career. Nevertheless, he finished his last season with an 87.8 quarterback rating, playing for the Buffalo Bills.
Additionally in his professional career, Kyle Orton earned several awards, including the NFC Champion in 2006, and also the AFC Offensive Player of the Week in 2009.
