Kenny Aronoff was born on 7 March 1953, in Albany, New York State, USA, and is a drummer, known for working with numerous live and studio band, including with the John Mellencamp band from 1980 to 1996. All of his efforts have helped put his net worth to where it is today.

At an early age, Kenny developed an interest in music, especially for playing the drums. He attended Berkshire Country Day School, and after matriculating, went to the University of Massachusetts to study music for one year. He then went to The Indiana University School of Music (Jacobs School of Music) to study classical music, and spent a summer at the Aspen School of Music and another on the Tanglewood in the Fellowship program. He was part of programs by Julliard School and the Boston Symphony Orchestra, worked with various composers, and studied under Vic Firth. After graduating in 1976, he was offered positions in the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra and the Quito Ecuador Symphony Orchestra, but chose to study at the Berklee College of Music, improving his drum skills. He also studied in New York to learn more about jazz and fusion music. After playing rock ‘n’ roll for a few years, he would win an audition with John Couger leading him to join the Mellencamp band.

The band would release a total of 10 albums and would tour the country for the next 17 years. Soon after joining Mellencamp, he was already becoming a well-known studio musician. He also toured with many artists, including with Richard Thompson, John Fogerty, and Smashing Pumpkins. In 1998, he recorded and toured with BoDeans, and two years later started touring with Joe Cocker. Other notable projects he worked with include “Blaze of Glory” which was featured in the film “Young Guns II”, and was also part of Meat Loaf’s comeback album entitled “Bat Out of Hell II: Back into Hell”. He recorded on the Cinderella album “Still Climbing” and Celine Dion’s “Let’s Talk About Love”.

In 2004, Kenny started working with Avril Lavigne and Michelle Branch, making several songs with them. He also performed at the Kennedy Center Honors Ceremonies from 2008 to 2014, and was present at the “56th Annual Grammy Awards”, performing with Ringo Starr, John Mayer, John Legend, David Grohl, Alicia Keys, and Stevie Wonder.

Aside from his music performances, Aronoff is the owner of Uncommon Studios L.A. Some of the endorsements he has include Tama Drums, Zildjan cymbals, Vic Firth drumsticks, Meinl Percussion, Yamaha DTX electronic drums, Shure microphones, and Evans Drumheads, all adding to hois net worth..

For his personal life, it is known that Kenny has been married to Georgina Anouska since 2012, and the couple resides in Studio City, Los Angeles, California. Kenny has a twin brother who is a clinical psychologist.
