Gregory Jack Biffle Wiki Biography

Gregory Jack Biffle was born on 23 December 1969, in Vancouver, Washington USA, to Sally Frye and Garland Jack Biffle II, of German and English decent. He is a professional stock car racing driver, who currently competes in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series for Roush Fenway Racing. He is best known for being a repeated NASCAR champion, but also being the first driver to win both the Busch Series and the Craftsman Truck Series championships, and the sixth out of only twenty-six drivers to win a race in all three of NASCAR’s national series.

A successful race driver, how rich is Greg Biffle? Sources state that Biffle has earned a net worth of over $50 million, as of mid-2016. His fortune has been acquired during his racing career, which began in 1998.

Biffle grew up in Camas, Washington, along with his brother. Starting his racing career on short tracks around the Pacific Northwest, he first captured national attention when he dominated the 1995-1995 Winter Heat Series race. After impressive results in the 1996 NASCAR Winston Racing Series Championships, Biffle joined the NASCAR team Roush Fenway Racing in 1998, taking the 1998 Rookie of the Year Award in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, and capturing another truck series championship in 2000. In 2001 he joined the Busch series, winning Rookie of the Year honors. The following year he won both the Craftsman Truck and Busch Series Championships, the first driver to do so, and the first one to win over $2 million in a single Busch Series season. His net worth was significantly boosted.

Biffle’s Cup Series career started in 2002, capturing his first NASCAR Nextel Cup Series victory, and adding three more Cup wins the following year. His breakout season came in 2005 when he won six races, more than any other driver in the NASCAR Nextel Cup season, finishing second and qualifying for the Chase. After failing to make it to the Chase in 2006 and 2007, he earned a spot in the Chase for three consecutive seasons – 2008, 2009 and 2010, but then missed the Chase in 2011. However, the next season became one of his most successful ones, leading the point standings and earning two Chase victories. His 2013 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series victory marked the driver’s 1000th win for Ford in NASCAR, making the Chase for the fifth time in six years, and again the following year.

2015 brought many challenges for Biffle, and he finished the season 20th in the point standings. His most recent race was in the 2016 Coke Zero 400 at Daytona, in which he finished eighth. Biffle’s successful racing career has enabled him to become highly popular among NASCAR lovers and to establish significant wealth.

Aside from being a race driver, Biffle owned a pub in Vancouver; he has been a co-owner of Willamette Speedway, and Sunset Speedway in Oregon, and is also a private pilot.

The driver has also been involved in the film and television industry too. In 2005 he guest-starred in an episode of the CBS sitcom “Yes, Dear”, and appeared in a special features scene of the comedy film “Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby” the following year. In 2007 he appeared on the Food Network show “Paula’s Party”. Aside from being a regular panelist on the Speed Network program “This Week in NASCAR”, Biffle was also featured in an episode of Speed’s television show “Pass Time” in 2009. He has also appeared in an episode of “American Restoration” reality television series.

When speaking about his personal life, Biffle married Nicole Lunders in 2007., but they separated in 2015 and are currently involved in legal proceedings. They have one daughter together. The driver is involved in philanthropy. He has founded the Greg Biffle Foundation, focused on improving animal welfare through the motorsports industry.
