Gordon Vaughn is an American musician, best known to the world as the lead vocalist of the rock band Cool for August, which existed from the late ’90s until the early 2000s. Gordon was born in Los Angeles, California, but his exact birth date remains unknown to the media.

Their debut release was the EP “MilinSorgin”, released in 1997, and the same year they released their first and as it turned out only full-length album – “Grand World” – which spawned such hits as “Don’t Wanna Be Here”, “Trials”, and “Walk Away”. They toured across the USA after the release of the debut album, but unfortunately they were waived by the Warner Bros. Records, and as a result, they decided to disband in 2001. Before disbandment, they released one more single “Say it Isn’t So”, released online, and started working on a new album, but when they couldn’t land a recording deal, decided to go ahead with their disbandment.

After Cool for August ceased to exist, Gordon also withdrew somewhat from the mainstream music industry, but continued to work as an underground musician; he is now primarily a freelance producer, working for the Egg’s Productions. Some of his best known works have included the song “Broken Hearts, Broken Lands”, for which he wrote the lyrics and then recorded vocals.

Furthermore, he was also the producer of the rap song ‘Lucky Charm”.
