Duane Lee “Dog” Chapman I. Wiki Biography
Born Duane Lee Chapman, Sr.on 2 February 1953, in Denver, Colorado, USA, of part-German descent through his mother, and part-English through his father, he is best known under his professional name of Dog The Bounty Hunter, and is a well known television personality, who initially earned his wealth as a bail bondsman and bounty hunter.
So just how rich is this Bounty Hunter, as of early 2018? It has been estimated by authoritative sources that the current amount of Dog’s net worth is as high as $6 million, earned variously as a bail bondsman, bounty hunter, and of course television personality. Duane Lee Chapman worked with the A&E television network, starring in the television show entitled ‘Dog the Bounty Hunter’, from 2004 through 2012. One of his recent jobs has been starring in the show called ‘Dog and Beth: On the Hunt’. The mentioned above shows have played a huge role when it comes to accumulating the amount of Lee Chapman’s net worth.
Duane Lee Chapman, Sr. was raised in a family with his three siblings. In 1976, Lee Chapman with his friend wanted to obtain drugs, however, as a participant in an apparently random gunfight in which a man was killed, he was consequently sentenced to five years in prison, but paroled after 18 months. Consequently, he cannot own a gun, and has also been barred from entering the UK.
After Duane was released from jail, he became a bounty hunter, a person who catches outlaws and receives financial payment for it, and as a result, Duane Lee Chapman has increased his net worth considerably – an example is that in 2003, Duane Lee with his team members Tim and Leland Chapman, captured habitual offender, rapist and drug dealer Andrew Luster.
As a bounty hunter, he has been invited as a guest onto a number of television shows, including ‘The 9 on Yahoo!’, ‘The Glenn Beck Program’, ‘Fox 6 News San Diego’, ‘The Morning Show with Mike and Juliet’, ‘Mark and Mercedez Morning Show’, and ‘Larry King Live’. His unusual profession means that he narrates his outstanding everyday life, and he was subsequently invited to become a leading star of the reality show ‘Dog the Bounty Hunter’ which aired from 2004 till 2012. The show was produced by Daniel Elias, David Houts, David McKillop and Neil A. Cohen, and it has also added a significant amount to Duane’s net worth, as it aired more than 240 episodes, and the show was very popular for all eight seasons it was shown. Even then, it was further syndicated.
Since 2013, Chapman has added to his net worth starring alongside wife Beth in the reality show entitled ‘Dog and Beth: On the Hunt’. Duane Lee Chapman has also increased his net worth as an author of the books entitled ‘You Can Run But You Can’t Hide’ (2007) and ‘Where Mercy Is Shown, Mercy Is Given’ (2010).
In his less=than=private personal life, Dog The Bounty Hunter is evidently very popular among woman. He has fathered eleven children- or is it 12 – both in and out of wedlock. The first child Chapman fathered was with his girlfriend Debbie White. In 1972, he married his first wife La Fonda Sue Honeycutt with whom he has two children: the couple divorced while Duane was in prison. In 1979, he married Anne M. Tegnell and they had three children together before divorcing in 1982. From 1982 ‘til 1991, Lee Chapman was married to Lyssa Rae Brittain and they also have three children together. From 1992 to 1994, Duane was married to Tawny Marie. Finally, in 2006 he married Alice Elizabeth ‘Beth’ Barmore and they have two children together, and are partners both personally and in business. The special “Dog and Beth: Fight Of Their Lives” was aired in November 2017, and documents Beth’s fight against throat cancer, which appears set to have a positive outcome. They currently live in Hawaii.

- I’m very emotional. That’s why I wear shades a lot.
- In Hawaii, we have something called Ho’oponopono, where people come together to resolve crises and restore peace and balance.
- Everybody’s under God’s planet, and God is the Almighty, the Beginning, the End, the Alpha, the Omega. He’s Big Daddy. He gives out these little soldiers and sons and angels and saints to help everybody else get through to him. I’m not the ‘Jesus-only or you’re going to Hell’ kind of guy.
- Faith is the substance of hope – of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. So if you can hope for it and imagine it, and keep imagining and hoping and seeing yourself driving a new car, or seeing yourself getting that job, or seeing yourself excel, seeing yourself help that person – that is faith.
- You can’t be afraid to put out a fire if you’re a fireman. You can’t be afraid to be a police officer and carry a gun if you’re afraid to get up and go out there. So you’ve got to put that fear to the side and go out in faith to overcome that.
- I have a hard problem, being some part Native American – being a Christian: do you get burned, do you get cremated, do you get – let the sharks eat you? How do you die?
- Born on a mountain, raised in a cave. Arresting fugitives is all I crave.
- And I used to say, ‘I’m black, too.’ In other words, I – my whole life I’ve been called a half-breed, a convict, king of the trailer trash, this and that. I take that and stand.
- As a bounty hunter, I have to dress the part. If I came to the door and looked like Carrot Top, you’d laugh.
- It’s just like being a father; you got to show them love and you got to show them the path. I don’t like this role-model stuff, though.
- I’ve been a biker, I’ve been a convict, I’ve been a husband, father, and son.
- I would have done higher than that… I would have set it higher.
- When I was a child I liked watching shows about bounty hunters and Canadian Mounties. I liked the ‘Lone Ranger,’ I liked shows where the guy saved the girl from the villain. I just liked those kinds of things and I wanted to be a guy like that, you know, that would save the damsel in distress.
- Dog is God spelled backward.
- I have the utmost respect and ‘aloha’ for black people – who have already suffered so much due to racial discrimination and acts of hatred.
- I was in prison for a charge in Texas, murder one. Back in the ’70s in Texas, I was there. I heard the shot. I was in the car.
- I’m going to be Dog, and I’m going to be an entertainer. And I’m going to make mistakes.
- I’m marrying my common-law wife, Beth, the Christian way, with a preacher and all that.
- I’m Native American, so it’s in my blood to always want brothers and friends. I’m a good brotherhood guy.
- I’ve always taken pride to be the white guy that can talk to the black people, that can refer to them truly as a brother from a different mother.
- If I was Judge Del Rosario, I would say Ili, of all people, you know better.
- Six men can carry you or 12 men can judge you. You decide!
- The closest thing to hell on earth is prison. It’s the worst experience I’ve ever had in my life. Besides death.
- I love what I do. I love to capture the guy. I love to tell the victim ‘Don’t worry anymore. They’re in jail.’ And this is my way to heaven. This is my way to contribute to America what I know how to do best, and that’s chase down the predator.
- My father is the reason I am the way I am today. He’s why I acted up and he’s why I prayed to be the opposite of him. We made up before he died but I vowed to never raise my kids like how he raised me.
- We believe that God is big enough to give every nationality their own religion, as he’s given them their own taste in food, in plants, in furniture, and housing. I think that each religion has their basic Christ-ish way to get to the Everlasting God.
- When someone is looking down, they’re saying no. When they’re looking up, they’re looking to their brain for memory. When they look to the left, they’re looking for a lie or something they memorized. When they look to the right, they’re feeling sorry – they don’t want to answer.
