Shaun Robinson Wiki Biography

Shaun Robinson is an Emmy Award-winning journalist, author, television personality and digital content producer, born on 11th July 1962 in Detroit, Michigan, USA. She is probably best known for hosting the daily entertainment news magazine show “Access Hollywood” from 1999 to 2015, but also as the host of “TV One Access”.

Have you ever wondered how rich Shaun Robinson is? According to sources it has been estimated that Shaun Robinson’s overall net worth is over $2 million, accumulated through a versatile career which she started in the early ‘90s. Since she is still one of the most successful journalists and a member of the entertainment industry, her net worth continues to grow.

Shaun matriculated from the noted Cass Technical High School and then moved to Atlanta to study at Spelman College. Upon graduation, her career began in her hometown, when she started working on WGPR-TV, the first television station in the USA to be African-American owned. She then became a weekend anchor and medical reporter for WISN-TV in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Here, her series about women and their struggle with cancer drew a lot of attention, and earned Robinson an Associated Press Award. In this period, she also hosted “Milwaukee’s Talking”, a daily talk show. Her net worth was well established.

In 1995, Shaun joined KEYE-TV, a newly formed station in Texas, where her “Profiles in Power” series once again focused on women, this time on those who made an impact in Central Texas, and she was rewarded with an American Women in Radio and Television Award. Her career as an anchor and reporter continued as she then worked for WSVN-TV in Miami, Florida, and during this period she covered the Clinton impeachment hearings, Hurricane George which hit the Florida Keys, the Oklahoma City bombing and many other important events. For more than 15 years, Robinson interviewed Hollywood’s biggest stars while working as a co-host of the “Access Hollywood” entertainment show. She also covered the red carpets for the Golden Globe, Emmy and Grammy Awards, and hosted the official pre-shows for the Oscars. For her live coverage of “A Grand Night in Harlem” for the Black Sports and Entertainment Hall of Fame, Shaun won an Emmy Award. She also managed to captivate audiences as the host of “TV One Access”, which brought her another acknowledgment, this time the “Outstanding Coverage of Race & Ethnicity” award from Columbia University.

In addition, she has received prestigious awards from the Associated Press and American Women in Radio. Her other notable works include contributing reports to “Nightly News”, “Today Show” and CNN, but also being featured as a panelist on “Larry King Live”, “The View” and “The Joy Behar Show”.

Apart from her journalist’s career, Robinson has achieved success as an author, publishing the book “Exactly As I Am”, which concentrates on building self-esteem for teen girls.

When it comes to her private life, Shaun married MLB player Darryl Hamilton in 1994, but the couple divorced soon after. She is currently believed to be single.
