Darren Mallory Sharper was born on the 3rd November 1975, in Richmond, Virginia USA, and is a retired American football player, who spent fourteen seasons in the National Football League(NFL), playing for teams such as the Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings and New Orleans Saints, making it the main source of his net worth and also popularity.

The youngest of three siblings, Darren grew up in the Henrico County, Virginia, where he attended the Hermitage High School, where he started to show his football skills, playing for the high school football team, but also showed his basketball skills, and the school honored him by placing him on the “Wall Of Fame”.

Darren then enrolled at the College of William and Mary, where he continued to play football, but changed position from quarterback to defensive back. To speak of his career in college, Darren showed considerable skills, winning several honors, including the Yankee Conference Defensive P.O.Y. in 1996, and also being twice named I-AA All-American in 1995 and 1996.

In 1997, Darren`s professional career began, as he was drafted by the Green Bay Packers as the 60th pick overall, and of course his net worth started to rise immediately. In his first season, he finished with 19 tackles and 2 interceptions, and helped his team reach the Super Bowl, however, they lost to the Denver Broncos. With each season, his performances improved, and in 2000 he earned his first Pro-Bowl appearance, which he later increased to five appearances in 2002, 2005, 2007 and 2009. In 2010, Darren extended his contract with the Saints, but was injured, which kept him sidelined for the majority of the season. His contract then expired, but after a few tryouts at Denver Broncos and the New England Patriots, Darren failed to get a contract offer, and as a result he decided to retire from the league.

To speak of his accomplishments other than those already mentioned, Darren has 63 career regular season interceptions, placing him sixth all time. 11 of his interceptions were converted into touchdowns, which places him third in NFL history, behind Rod Woodson and Charles Woodson.

Regarding his personal life, Darren has had a few problems with the law starting in 2014, as he was arrested for several sex assaults, which resulted in a jail sentence and his removal from the Hall of Fame at his college, and doubts as to his suitability for induction into the NFL Hall of Fame.
