Brandon Christopher Jacobs Wiki Biography

Brandon Christopher Jacobs was born on 6 July 1982, in Houma, Louisiana USA, to Janice Jacobs. He is a former American Football player, best known as a running back for the New York Giants in the National Football League(NFL) during a career spanning 2005-13.

So just how rich is Brandon Jacobs at present? Sources state that Jacobs has earned a net worth of over $18 million, as of late-2016, largely established during his football career.

Jacobs grew up in Napoleonville, Louisiana, along with his younger brother, where he attended Assumption High School. Playing for the school’s football team, he earned a number of honors, including USA Today All-America, Orlando Sentinel All-Southern, Prep Star All-Region and Louisiana Class 4A Most Valuable Offensive Player, largely a reward for running the most yards in the state of Louisiana.

Jacobs later enrolled in Coffeyville Community College in Coffeyville, Kansas. In his two extraordinary seasons with the Red Ravens, he was named Kansas Jayhawk Conference All-Conference two times, the team MVP for CCC, a JUCO All-American and the KJCCC All-Conference First Team. He also earned the Reb Russell Memorial Football Scholarship Award.

In 2003 he enrolled in Alabama’s Auburn University, joining the Auburn Tigers football team. He became the team’s third-string running back, that included players Ronnie Brown and Cadillac Williams, and finished second in yardage.

In 2004 he joined Division 1-AA at Southern Illinois University, and while with the SIU Salukies, he led the team with 150 carries for 992 yards and 19 touchdowns.

Jacobs was selected in the fourth round as the 110th overall pick by the New York Giants in the 2005 NFL Draft. During his seven-season tenure with the Giants, he became the team’s all-time leader in rushing touchdowns, and fourth in franchise history in rushing yards. His best season was in 2008, when he rushed for a career-best 1,089 yards and 15 touchdowns. He led the team to win two Super Bowl titles in 2007 and 2011, which significantly contributed to the player’s popularity and to his net worth as well.

After the Giants released him in 2012, Jacobs joined the San Francisco 49ers. However, he only participated in three games for the team, gaining five carries for seven yards. This, at first, had to do with an injury he suffered in the training camp. Another thing that limited Jacob’s action was a suspension from the team for complaining on social media about his lack of playing time. The 49ers waived him in late 2012.

The following year Jacobs re-signed with the New York Giants on a one-year contract, improving his wealth once again. He rushed for a total of 238 yards and four touchdowns in seven games, but in early 2014 he announced his retirement from professional football.

In 2012 the player appeared in an episode of the “Impact Wrestling” television show, putting wrestler Bully Ray through a table. Later that year, he appeared in ABC’s reality television series “Shark Tank”, along with his friend and entrepreneur Tania Patruno, pitching for an investment in Patruno’s protein energy drink Pro NRG.

When speaking about his private life, Jacobs has been married to Kim since 2005; the couple has one child together, and resides in Wayne, New Jersey.
