Zach LaVine Wiki Biography

Zachary LaVine was born on 10 March 1995, in Renton, Washington State USA, and is a professional basketball player, best known as a part of the National Basketball Association (NBA) team the Chicago Bulls. He’s been active in the sport professionally since 2014 and all of his efforts have helped put his net worth to where it is today.

How rich is Zach LaVine? As of early-2018, sources inform us of a net worth that is at $3 million, mostly earned through a successful career in professional basketball, having won Slam Dunk Contests twice, only the fourth to do so consecutively. As he continues his career, it is expected that his wealth will also continue to increase.

Zach grew up in a family that were heavily involved in sports. He developed an interest in basketball after watching Michael Jordan in the film “Space Jam”, then became a fan of Kobe Bryant, and wanted to model his game after him. He attended Bothell High School and played in the point guard position. Eventually, after he grew in height, he would start practicing dunking for hours. In 2013, he was named as the Washington state player of the year and won the Ballislife All-American Game dunk contest. He was considered as a four star recruit by Rivals.com.

In 2012 he verbally committed to attending UCLA, and joined the team even after they changed coaches. He became the team’s sixth man, and was compared to Russell Westbrook, however, later in the season he struggled somewhat, but was still named as one of the top freshmen of the year. In 2014, he declared for the NBA draft, and for his long term potential was selected by the Minnesota Timberwolves as the 13th overall pick. He signed a rookie scale contract which started to increase his net worth; he initially came off the bench, but was eventually made a starter after Ricky Rubio became sidelined indefinitely. He performed well but his playing time dipped once again when Rubio returned. In 2015, Zach would win the 2015 NBA Slam Dunk Contest, becoming the youngest champion since Kobe Bryant in 1997.

In 2015, LaVine was extended by the Timberwolves to play one more year and took the starting point guard role – he played well during the season and would capture MVP honors in the Rising Stars Challenge, and subsequently became the fourth player to win consecutive Slam Dunk Contests. In 2016, he scored a career high 40 points against the Sacramento Kings, but his season was cut short after it was discovered that he had a torn ACL. The following year, he was traded to the Chicago Bulls and would start to claw back his scoring performance.

For his personal life, nothing is known about Zach’s romantic relationships, if any. He is active on social media, having over 261,000 followers on Twitter, and almost a million on Facebook.
