Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, born the 15th of July 1987, is an American actor who gained fame in the Netflix musical series “The Get Down” as Clarence ‘Cadillac’ Cladwell.

Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, Abdul-Mateen is the son of a Muslim father and a Christian mother, and has five other older brothers and sisters. He always wanted to be an actor, but decided to pursue architecture instead, and graduated from the University of California, Berkeley in 2008.

That same year he also starred alongside Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron in the action comedy film “Baywatch”, and these early years acting in movies have helped establish his career and also his net worth.
Today, Abdul-Mateen is very active in his chosen profession, and will appear in the movies “Boundaries” and “The Greatest Showman” with Hugh Jackman and Michelle Williams.
