Vincent Paul Kartheiser Wiki Biography

Vincent Paul Kartheiser was born on the 5th May 1979, in Minneapolis, Minnesota USA,and is an actor probably best known to the world as Pete Campbell in the drama TV series “Mad Men” (2007-2015), and as Philippe Weis in the film “In Time” (2011), among other differing roles. His career has been active since 1993.

Have you ever wondered how rich Vincent Kartheiser is, as of early 2017? According to authoritative sources, it has been estimated that Kartheiser’s net worth is as high as $5 million, earned through his successful career as an actor, during which he has appeared in more than 40 film and TV titles.

Vincent grew up in a family with five older siblings, including four sisters. His mother, Janet Marie, operated a nursery, while his father, James Ralph Kartheiser sold construction equipment to make a living. Vincent is of mixed ancestry, with Finnish, Swedish, German, Polish and Luxembourgish roots. Vincent went to Apple Valley High School.

Vincent’s career began when he was quite young, appearing on stage in numerous plays, including “Pippi Longstocking”, “Our Town”, “Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm”, and many others, presented at the Children’s Theatre Company in his native Minneapolis.

As early as 1993 Vincent made his screen debut, with the role in Tony Bill’s “Untamed Heart” as Orphan Boy, next to Christian Slater and Marisa Tomei. His next appearance was in the fantasy film “Heaven Sent” (1994), which featured David Bowie in the lead role, alongside Wilford Brimley and Mary Beth McDonough. In 1996 he had his first lead role, as Sean Barnes in the adventure “Alaska” next to Tora Birch and Dirk Benedict. This led to another starring role, portraying Ozzie in the action comedy “Masterminds” (1997), sharing the screen with Patrick Stewart and Brenda Ficker. By the end of the ‘90s, Vincent had appeared in “Another Day in Paradise” (1998) with Melanie Griffith and James Woods, and “All I Wanna Do” the same year. His net worth was already well established.

He started the new millennium with a role in Rob Schmidt’s dramatic thriller “Crime and Punishment in Suburbia” (2000), and then portrayed Ricky Cowen in “Ricky 6” (2000), before in 2001 appearing in Tom McLoughlin’s mystery thriller “The Unsaid” with Andy Garcia and Trevor Blumas. Three years later he featured in Mark Milgard’s directorial debut “Dandelion”, and meantime appeared in 28 episodes of the TV series “Angel” as Conor, from 2002 until 2004.

In 2007 he was selected for the role of the ambitious young ad man Pete Campbell in the TV series “Mad Men”, and appeared in all 92 episodes until show’s end in 2015, which certainly increased his net worth, and also won him two SAG awards, in 2009 and 2010.

While the show lasted, Vincent had several other acting engagements too, including roles in such films as “Elektra Luxx” (2010), “Rango” (2011) – in which he lent his voice to Ezekiel and Lasso Rodent – and “In Time” (2011) with Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried, and “Red Knot”. In recent years, Vincent has had roles in “Day Out of Days” (2015), “A Kind of Murder” (2016), directed by Andy Goddard, and will appear in films “The Most Hated Woman in America”, and “My Friend Dahmer”, which are scheduled for release in late 2017.

Regarding his personal life, Vincent has been married to Alexis Bledel, actress and co-star in the “Mad Men”, since 2014; the couple has one child together.

Vincent Paul Kartheiser Quotes

  • I’m with my mom so much that it’s like if we go out to eat somewhere, we probably say ten sentences to each other. We’re like an old couple. There’s nothing that we have to say. It’s okay to sit there and just be.
  • I think it’s healthy to hate. I think it’s extremely healthy, because without hate, you cannot see love. Without red, there wouldn’t be any green. That’s not a very good metaphor but, you know, it’s the same.
  • I was such a nerd when I was younger and I may look different now and girls may like me, but I still feel like that nerd.
