Troy Brandon Murphy was born on 2 May 1980, in Morristown, New Jersey USA, and is a retired professional basketball player, best known for playing in the National Basketball Association (NBA) for teams such as the Dallas Mavericks; he also played for the University of Notre Dame during his college career. All of his efforts have helped put his net worth to where it is today.

Murphy joined the 2001 NBA Draft and was selected as the 14th overall pick by the Golden State Warriors. He started slowly, but then improved towards the end of the season. He averaged a double-double during his sophomore year and tried to improve his outside shooting. After a series of injuries, he was limited to 28 games during the 2003 season, but then played with the Warriors until 2006, and started to post better numbers. In 2007, he was traded to the Indiana Pacers and continued to improve his three point shooting. He stayed with the Pacers until 2010, when he was traded to the New Jersey Nets, but after less than a year with the Nets, he was traded back to the Warriors. He played the 2011 season with the Warriors but was waived just in time to be eligible for a new team for the playoffs. – he joined the Boston Celtics and played his first career playoff game with them, but after the season he signed with the Los Angeles Lakers, before finishing his career with the Dallas Mavericks in 2012.
After his career in the NBA, Troy returned to school since he never finished his bachelor’s degree. He attended the Columbia University School of General Studies to pursue sociology.
For his personal life, there aren’t even any rumours of romantic associations for Troy. It is known that Murphy was given Notre Dame’s Ring of Honor in 2016.
