Stephen Amell Wiki Biography
Stephen Adam Amell, a well-known television actor, was born on 8 May 1981, in Toronto, Ontario Canada. He is probably best known for his role of Oliver Queen in the CW television series “Arrow”, which is the main factor for his increasing net worth. He will also star as Casey Jones in the upcoming “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” movie.
A famous actor known for starring in “Arrow”, how rich is Stephen Amell? Sources estimate that the total net worth of Stephen Amell is $2.5 million dollars, mostly accumulated through his acting career spanning a little over 10 years.
Firstly Amell was seen in two episodes of the TV series “Queer as Folks” fourth season in 2004, in the role of an instructor of Liberty Ride. He also had a role in the first season of “Dante’s Cove” in 2005. Amell then had a longer running involvement in the series “Rent a Goalie”, which ran from 2006-08, and brought him a Gemini Award with the rest of the cast (ensemble). In 2007 Stephen guest starred in a couple of episodes of “ReGenesis”, for which he received another Gemini Award. During three and five seasons respectively, Stephen then had rather casual roles in “Da Kink In My Hair” and “Heartland”. All these appearances contributed steadily, if unspectacularly, to the growth of Stephen Amell’s net worth.
Continuing his roles in TV series and other productions, in 2011 Stephen was seen in the role of werewolf Brady in season 2 of “Vampire Diaries”, and then played the role of Joran Van Der Sloot in the movie “Justice for Natalie Holloway”. Amell starred as Jason in the third season of “Hung” premiered on HBO, and had a guest role in season four of “90210”. He also appeared on the Christmas episode of the television show “New Girl”, and as paramedic Scottie in “Private Practice” aired on ABC in 2012. All these appearances in television shows and movies are the reason for his increasing net worth, but his continuing role in the series “Arrow” has brought him most recognition, including a couple of awards, and significantly boosted his net worth. Overall, Stephen has made appearances in over 30 TV productions, and several movies on the big screen.
Apart from appearing in television shows and movies, Stephen Arnell is also associated with WWE (wrestling) universe in a semi-serious participative role. It was speculated that Amell would face-off against Stardust (Cody Rhodes) at the pay per view of Summerslam 2015, but due to the death of Rhodes’ father of Rhodes, it seemed as if the match wouldn’t take place. However, eventually Amell and Adrian Neville (English wrestler Ben Slatterley) defeated Stardust and King Barret in a tag team match at Summerslam. Of course all the publicity surrounding these events increased both the fame of Amell, and assisted the rise in his net worth.
In his personal life Stephen Amell married model and actress Cassandra Jean in 2012; they now have a daughter.

Stephen Amell Quotes
- [on whether the constant attention on his abs detracts from Arrow’s other selling points] Listen, I’m not gonna complain about it. I will say that every once in a while I get my back up when the first question is about my abdomen and not about the fact that Time magazine wrote that we might be the best superhero TV show ever. If the show was about my abs, then people would have watched the pilot, created a GIF on the internet, and not watched the second episode. So part of me wants to be, like, Fuck off.
- [on whether his constant shirtless scenes helped to make Arrow successful] Me being shirtless certainly isn’t the only element that’s made it successful, but it is certainly part of the total equation and I’d be silly to think that it is not. There are different motivations when it comes to going to the gym and the motivation of maintaining the physique you’ve established on television. And the fact that you are going to be showing it on television – if that’s not enough to motivate people then I don’t know what would. I’m working out really hard right now because I wasn’t shirtless for the first few episodes of the season and then I am shirtless all the time for a long stretch.
- [comparing Justin Hartley’s portrayal of Oliver Queen/Green Arrow in Smallville (2001) to his] I think we find Oliver Queen more injured than we saw him before. Other than in name, there are virtually no similarities between [Hartley’s version and his version]. It’s not to say that one’s better than the other, it’s just that they’re so different, it’s almost weird to compare them.
- I’m flattered if any movie role and my name are mentioned in the same sentence, because there haven’t been a ton of them.
- I’m still an actor who wants to work all the time.
- When I first broke into the acting industry, I taught spinning classes to support myself.
- I like vocabulary and I actually read a book called ‘Word Freak,’ which is about a guy who basically went into competitive Scrabble for a year. But having a big vocabulary and being good at Scrabble are not the same thing.
