Stephanie Courtney Wiki Biography
American actress and comedian, Stephanie Courtney was born on 8 February 1970 in Stony Point, New York City USA, and is perhaps best known for portraying Flo in Progressive Insurance commercials in various media. In fact, it has been officially stated that Stephanie earns $500,000 per year from her performances in these commercials.
So how rich is Stephanie Courtney? Sources estimate that Stephanie has managed to accumulate a net worth of $7 million throughout her career since the mid-1990s, most of her wealth coming from her acting, including in commercials, as well as her comic shows.
Stephanie is the youngest three siblings; their father was a history teacher, and mother a singer. Stephanie became interested in acting while at university, graduating from Binghamton University in 1992. During studies, she starred as Elizabeth Proctor in “The Crucible”, which convinced her absolutely to become an actor. After graduation, Stephanie moved into New York City, where she studied acting at the Neighbourhood Playhouse, while working as an evening secretary for Smith Barney chairman Robert S. Greenhill. Probably, this was when Stephanie decided her net worth could rise far more from acting. At this time she began appearing in advertisements, which has since been a main source of Stephanie’s net worth.
However, ‘the main’ does not mean ‘the only one’ – Stephanie is also a TV star, perhaps best known for appearing in 27 episodes of “Tom Goes to the Mayor” from 2004 to 2006. Stephanie Courtney’s net worth was also increased with income from “Mad Men”, another TV show, in which the actress took the role of Marge. Courtney also portrayed Diane in “Cavemen”, as well as appearing in the 2nd season of “Men of a Certain Age”. There are no doubts all these temporal performances have added considerable income to Stephanie Courtney’s net worth.
Stephanie moved to Los Angeles, and there in 2004 Stephanie became a member of an improvisational Los Angeles group named “The Groundlings”, which has also been instrumental in boosting Stephanie Courtney’s net worth.
Subsequently, Stephanie also appeared in more than 40 TV shows and series, such as in seven episodes of “Faking the Video” in 2004, several episodes of “Mad Men” and “Cavemen” in 2006 and ’07, “Fred the Show” in 2012, and “You’re the Worst” in 2014, which all contributed steadily to Courtney’s net worth.
Stephanie has also appeared in a number of films, and her credits include such movies as “Melvin Goes to Dinner” in 2003, “Broadcast 23” in 2005, “The Brothers Solomon” and “The Heartbreak Kid” in 2007, and in “Fred: The Movie” and its sequel “Fred 2: Night of the Living Fred” in 2012. Again, all this work boosted Stephanie’s net worth.
Most recently Stephanie appeared in the TV series “Major Crimes”, so is still in demand, and still lifting her net worth.
In her personal life Stephanie Courtney met Scott Kolanach in 2005 when they were both in “The Groundlings”, and the couple married in 2008.
