Stan Lynch Wiki Biography
Stanley Joseph Lynch was born on 21 May 1955, in Cincinnati, Ohio USA, and is a musician, songwriter and record producer, best known for being a part of the band Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, as their drummer for 18 years. He’s been active in the industry since the 1970s, and all of his efforts have helped put his net worth to where it is today.
How rich is Stan Lynch? As of late-2017, sources inform us of a net worth that is over $500,000, mostly earned through a successful career in the music industry. He has also contributed music and collaborated with various artists as a songwriter. As he continues his endeavors, it is expected that his wealth will also continue to increase.
As a child, Stan was very interested in music, and decided to pursue a career in the music industry, playing both the guitar and piano. Eventually, he transitioned into drumming, with his parents buying him his first kit. At the age of 15, he started playing with various bands in Florida. He then met Ron Blair, future colleague with Tom Petty, and after matriculated from PK Yonge School in 1973, he moved to Los Angeles and started recording with. They invited Tom Petty and Mike Campbell to join them, leading to the formation of Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers.
While he became a part of the Heartbreakers recordings during the start of his career, he didn’t feel like he was improving on the drums until their fourth album entitled “Hard Promises”.
Their net worth started to increase, and soon more opportunities opened up for Stan, and he subsequently contributed to albums by The Mavericks, Scotty Moore, Stevie Nicks and Freedy Johnston.
He then decided to leave the Heartbreakers in 1994; according to reports, it was due to personal and musical differences with Tom Petty.
After leaving the Heartbreakers, Lynch then helped with the Eagles reunion album “Hell Freezes Over”, and toured with them. He helped produce for Don Henley, and bands such as Jackopierce and Sister Hazel. He also started songwriting for James House, Eddie Money, The Fabulous Thunderbirds and many more artists and bands. In 2002, he reunited with his former bandmates when they were inducted into the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame, playing two songs during their induction – “Mary Jane’s Last Dance”, and “American Girl”; Tom Petty would give Lynch a lot of praise in the book “Conversations with Tom Petty”.
Stan eventually gave away his drum set and started focusing on songwriting as well as production work. He also now teaches children drums at a friend’s store.
For his personal life, it is known that Lynch was in a relationship with actress Louise “Wish” Foley for five years. The two met while on the set for the production of the song “Don’t Come Around Here No More” – Foley played the Alice in Wonderland character in the music video. Not much else is known about Stan’s current romantic relationships, if any – not even any rumours, yet!
