Tanner Elle Schneider was born on the 3rd July 1989 in Los Angeles, California, USA, and known by her stage name Elle King, is a singer, songwriter and actress, is best known for her hit single “Ex’s and Oh’s” (2014). She first embarked on an acting career, in 1999, but settled on music starting in 2012.
Have you ever wondered how rich Elle King is, as of early 2017? According to authoritative sources, it has been estimated that King’s net worth is as high as $4 million, an amount earned through her successful career in music and acting.
Elle King is the only child of celebrity couple comedian and actor Rob Schneider, and her mother Lauren King is former model – she has Jewish, Filipino, English, and Scottish heritage. Her parents divorced when she was little, and her mother later remarried, which is why Elle spent her childhood in Eastern Ohio, while her teen years were spent in New York. At the age of nine, she was introduced to an all-girl rock band The Donnas by her stepfather, which was the turning point for Elle, who then decided that she would become a musician. However, she got the chance to try her luck in acting waters first, when she joined the cast of her father’s movie “Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo” (1999), followed by another Rob Schneider comedy, “The Benchwarmers” (2006), and a high school comedy “Wild Cherry” (2009), in which her co-star was also her father.
However, music remained Elle’s first choice – she began learning to play the guitar at the age of thirteen, followed by banjo. She was inspired by several music genres besides rock, such as blues, jazz, country and bluegrass, which is evident in her musical style, which encompasses country, soul, rock and blues. When she was sixteen, she used a fake identity card to find gigs in New York clubs, and her big break happened when she was signed by RCA Chairman Peter Edge, and released her first single “Good To Be A Man” in 2012. The same year, she released a self-titled four song EP and the lead track from gained traction and fame when it was featured in VH1’s series “Mob Wives Chicago” (2012). Subsequently, King was singled out as a promising up-and-coming performer, and appeared in shows such as ”The Late Show with David Letterman”. She also toured with bands such as Of Monsters and Men, and Train, and was the opening act for Dropkick Murphys, James Bay and Ed Sheeran.
King released her first studio album, “Love Stuff”, in 2015, which featured a mix of genres, including alternative rock, indie pop, blues rock, and country rock, and which spawned the successful single “Ex’s and Oh’s”, King’s most recognizable track to date, being certified double platinum, and receiving two Grammy nominations, for Best Rock Performance and Best Rock Song. She also recorded a music video for the song, as well as for the following two singles, “Under the Influence” and “America’s Sweetheart”. She then released another single, “Good Girls”, which featured on the soundtrack for the 2016 movie “Ghostbusters”, and “Different for Girls” (2016), in collaborated with country singer Dierks Bentley. Most She recently she appeared in the reality TV show – “Say Yes to the Dress” (2017).
Regarding her personal life, since 2016 Elle has been dating Andrew (Fergie) Ferguson, to whom she is currently engaged. King is a tattoo aficionado, having several of them on her body. She also stated several times that her natural hair color is pink.
