Born Samuel George Hurd III, on the 24th April 1985, in San Antonio, Texas USA, and is a retired American Football wide receiver, who spent six seasons in the National Football League (NFL), playing for the Dallas Cowboys (2006-2010), and Chicago Bears (2011), before being incarcerated for drug dealing. He is now serving a 15 year sentence at the FCI Bastrop in Bastrop, Texas, which started in November 2013.

After the 2010 season ended, Sam’s contract expired and the Cowboys decided not to re-sign him. Nevertheless, he soon found new engagement as he signed a contract with the Chicago Bears worth $4,150,000 over three years, which further increased his net worth.
