Ryan Villopoto Wiki Biography
Ryan Villopoto was born on 13 August 1988 in Poulsbo, Washington State USA. He is a Supercross and Motocross professional and superstar, who announced his retirement from the AMA races just recently in 2015, but will continue to race in the FIM races.
So how much wealth has Ryan Villopoto acquired during his impressive career? Sources estimate his net worth to be $5 million.
Villopoto started his career as an amateur by being part of Team Green in 2003 when he won two Champions races in “Honda Race”, four races in “Winter Olympic SX” and four in MX. In the same year, Villopoto also won the “AMA Amateur National Championship’s modified” classes and “NMA 95cc Open”. In 2004, Villopoto continued his career as an amateur motocross racer and competed in numerous races, winning titles at the “Lake Whitney Spring National”, the “GNC Finals”, the “Mammoth Motocross” and the “NMA Ponca City Grand Nationals” races, a total of 12 titles by the end of the year. His career as an amateur racer ended in 2005, when Villopoto received the “AMA Horizon Award”.
His first professional motocross race was at Binghamton’s Broome-Tioga Sports Center in 2005, where he managed to finish in 15th position, which was a great result for a first time racer. In 2006, he began competing professionally in the “AMA Supercross Lites West Series” where he was so successful that at the end of that year he received the “Rookie of the Day” title of “AMA Supercross/Motocross”. In 2007, Villopoto lost only one of his eight races in “AMA Supercross Lites West Series”, and became the first one to ever win on KX250F against 450cc bikes. Of course, accumulation of his net worth was progressing well.
Despite having a successful start in 450cc category in 2009, Villopoto received his first serious injury which made him unable to finish the “Glen Helen Raceway” series in South Carolina. In 2010, Villopoto gained the sponsorship of “Monster Energy” and became a part of their Kawasaki team. Unfortunately, due to an accident during one of the races at St. Louis, Villopoto’s leg was severely injured and he couldn’t compete in that season.
Next year, Villopoto returned with enthusiasm and won the “AMA Supercross Championship”, defeating his main opponent Chad Reed by only four points. Moreover, in 2011 he also won the “Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship”, and all three races in “Monster Energy Cup” which have all contributed to raising his net worth. In 2013, Villopoto reached the same level as some of the very best Supercross racers of all time when he recorded an impressive number of 18 AMA wins in one season. 2014 seemed to be a good year, but even though he won a total of seven AMA races that season, because of his numerous leg injuries Villopoto had to announce the end of his AMA racing career. It has been announced that he will still show up in the 2015 “FIM Motocross World Championship”.
In his personal life, Ryan Villopoto has been married to a PR manager Kristen Brouillard since 12 October 2011.
