Rodney Ray Lewis was born in 1954 in Laredo, Webb County, Texas USA, and is a businessman, best known to the world as the founder of the Lewis Energy, an oil and natural gas drilling company. His career started in the 1970s.

Following his graduation, Rodney got a job at Stampede Energy, so entering the oil industry, then to move on to R.L. Burns Corporation. According to sources Lewis receives as much as $350 million from Pemex for drilling on his land. Furthermore, he owns 350,000 acres of the Eagle Ford Shale property, on which British Petroleum started drilling in 2010. Although they are using only 80,000 acres of Rodney’s land, his net worth also continues to benefit.

Regarding his personal life, Rodney was married to Kimberly Annette Spicer from 1978 until 2013, when she filed for divorce. The couple has four children. He now lives in San Antonio, Texas. In the past, Rodney suffered from esophageal cancer, and although he fully recovered, he lost his salivary glands in the treatment process.
