[divider]Rebecca Romijn was brought up by her father, Japp, who worked as a furniture maker, and mother, Elizabeth Romijn, an English teacher. Her grandfather was Dr. Henry Bernard Kuizenga, a Presbyterian minister and professor. She attended Berkeley High School, where she got the nickname “Jolly Blond Giant” because of her height. After high school, she enrolled at the University of California, Santa Cruz where she studied Music. Parallel with that, she became involved in fashion modeling, thus in no time she quit education and moved to Paris to pursue her modeling career.
Since 1991, Rebecca has appeared in several magazines, and modeled for brands such as Victoria`s Secret, Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, Miller Lite, and has also showed her catwalk skills on runways around the world, for designers such as Anna Molinari and Giorgio Armani among others. Thanks to her success as a model, Rebecca was given a chance to become an actress, through a role in an episode of the popular TV series “Friends” in 1997. The following year, she was featured in a cameo role in the film “Dirty Work”, but 1999 was her breakout year, securing the role of Adrienne Barker in the TV series “Just Shoot Me!”. Since then, her career has gone only upwards, and so has her net worth. In 2000, she was Mystique in the film “X-Men”, a role which she repeated in sequels “X-Men 2” (2003), and “X-Men: The Last Stand” (2006), which increased her net worth by a large degree. In 2002, Rebecca was featured in the film “Femme Fatale”, with actors Antonio Banderas and Peter Coyote, and four years later she played the lead role of Peeper Dennis in the TV series of the same name.
To speak further of her accomplishments as an actress, Rebecca has featured in productions such as “Lake City” (2008), “Ugly Betty” (2007-2008), “Eastwick” (2008-2009), “Good Deeds” (2012), “NTSF:SD:SUV” (2011-2012), and many others all of which have increased her net worth. Most recently, Rebecca has been a part of the TV series “The Librarians” (2014-2015), and she will appear in the film “The Swinging Lanterns Stories”, which is scheduled for a release in 2017.
When it comes to her personal life, Rebecca Romijn has been married to actor Jerry O’Connell since 2007, with whom she has two children. Previously, she was married to actor and musician John Stamos from 1998 to 2005. Her current residence is in Calabasas, California.
