At the young age Paul attended Newlands Preparatory School and Newcastle’s Royal Grammar School, and later the University of Warwick, where he studied the art of literature and film. This education really helped him later to create his works. Now he is married to Milla Jovovich – American supermodel, singer, actor and film producer who starred in “Resident Evil”.
His first debut as a film director was in 1994, when a movie called “Shopping” appeared on screens, which was simply successful. This was only the beginning of building Anderson’s net worth. After a successful debut as a screen writer, for some reason didn’t write the screenplay for another three films he directed right after it – “Soldier”, “Mortal Kombat” and “Event Horizon”. However, when in 2002 “Resident Evil” was released, Paul increased his net worth considerably as he was credited as director, producer and writer. Since 2004 Paul W. S. Anderson has produced all the movies which he has released, and he continues doing his job until today. In 2013 the movie “Death Race 3: Retribution” appeared, a year after the historical disaster movie “Pompeii”, and in 2015 “Resident Evil: The Final Chapter” is hopefully going to amaze fans of Anderson’s works, especially because it has been announced that it will be the last one of this famous series. So there is no doubt that Paul’s net worth is only going to increase in the future.
To better understand how rich is Paul W. S. Anderson, we should take a look at the net worth he was able to build up. The best indicator which shows the amount of Anderson’s net worth is “People With Money” magazine, where he was announced as being the highest-paid film director in 2014.

Paul W. S. Anderson Quotes
- If you work with a subject matter beloved by a hardcore fan base, then there’s going to be a huge amount of discussion of what you’ve got wrong or right. In some ways you can never please overly obsessive fans, it’s just impossible.
- “AVP: Alien vs. Predator (2004) is not trying to be Alien (1979) or Aliens (1986), and it’s not trying to be Predator (1987). Those are genius movies. The impact that these creatures had on audiences was immense. But 26 years on, and dozens of comic books later, everyone knows what the Alien looks like. You’ve got to do something different with it, and make a slightly different movie. So, in a way, we were definitely making an Alien and a Predator movie, but a different one from the one the other directors had made”.
- I don’t think it would be possible for me to respect people like Ridley Scott or James Cameron more than I already do. They’re gods of filmmaking.

- Sick and tired of having to explain the significance of the raining frogs in Magnolia (1999), he added the initials W.S. to his name to avoid confusion with indie filmmaker Paul Thomas Anderson. Unfortunately, the modified name is too similar to another celebrated auteur, Wes Anderson, and Paul is constantly fielding questions about what it’s like to work with Bill Murray.

- Graduated from Warwick University in the UK.
