He also earned an Academy Award nomination for his performance in the film “Manchester by the Sea”. As he continues his career, it is expected that his wealth will also continue to increase.

Lucas grew up in a family involved in the acting industry – his father is Academy Award- nominated director and screenwriter Peter Hedges. Growing up, he frequently visited his father’s film sets. He was educated at Saint Ann’s School, and after matriculating, attended the University of North Carolina, School of the Arts. He is studying theatre at the university, but is taking a break to focus on his acting projects.

Hedges’ first film appearance was as an extra in his father’s film entitled “Dan in Real Life”. He then appeared in a play while at school, which attracted the attention of Wes Anderson who cast him in the film “Moonrise Kingdom” to play Redford, also featuring newcomers Kara Hayward and Jared Gilman. Soon, he would be cast in a series of films which would increase his net worth; in 2013 he appeared in “Arthur Newman”, “Labor” Day” and “The Zero Theorem”, which is a science fiction film about a computer genius trying to figure out if life holds any meaning. The following year, Hedges made a cameo appearance in “The Grand Budapest Hotel” which is inspired by the writings of Stefan Zweig. He was cast in “Manchester by the Sea’ playing Patrick Chandler, which premiered during the Sundance Film Festival, where his performance received great reviews, being nominated for numerous awards including an Academy Award, Screen Actors Guild Award, and Independent Spirit Award, actually the eighth youngest actor to be nominated for Best Supporting Actor at the Academy Awards.

He would then make his stage debut in the play “Yen”, which would get him a Lucille Lortel Award, and also a Theatre World Award for Outstanding Off-Broadway Debut Performance. The following year, he had supporting roles in “Lady Bird” and “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri”. A few of his latest projects include “Mid-90s” which is Jonah Hill’s directorial debut and “Boy Erased” which is based on Garrad Conley’s memoir. He’s also working as the title character of his father’s film “Ben is Back”.

For his personal life, at the age of 20, nothing is known about any possible romantic relationships. Hedges mother is actress Susan Bruce Titman, and he has an older brother.
