Paloma Faith Blomfield Wiki Biography
Paloma Faith Blomfield was born on the 21st July 1981, in Hackney, London, England, of British and Spanish descent. She is a musician, singer and songwriter, probably best recognized from releasing three studio albums, including “Do You Want The Truth Or Something Beautiful?” (2009), “Fall To Grace” (2012), and “A Perfect Contradiction” (2014). She is also known as an actress. Her career has been active since 2007.
So, have you ever wondered how rich Paloma Faith is, as of mid-2017? According to authoritative sources, it has been estimated that the size of Paloma’s net worth is over $3 million, accumulated not only through her successful involvement in the music industry, but also through her career as an actress.
Paloma Faith spent her childhood in Stoke Newington, where she was raised by her mother, as her parents divorced when she was only two years old. As a young girl, she took ballet classes, while attending City and Islington College, after which enrolled at the Northern School of Contemporary Dance, graduating with a BA degree in Contemporary Dance; parallel with that, she performed as a hip hop dancer in the nightclub LoveDough. Afterwards, she attended Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, from which she earned her MA degree in Theater Directing and Scenography.
Paloma’s musical career began in 2007, when she started singing cover songs from such jazz artists as Etta James and Billy Holiday, and she was soon spotted by Jamie Binns and Christian Wåhlberg of Lateral Management. After a few auditions she was signed to Epic Records, and in 2009 released her first single “Stone Cold Sober”, followed by a studio album entitled “Do You Want The Truth Or Something Beautiful?” in the same year. The album peaked at No. 9 on the UK chart and achieved double platinum status in the UK, which added a considerable amount to Paloma’s net worth. In 2010 she started working on a new album, toured the UK, and also collaborated with several other musicians, including Elton John, Plan B, Basement Jaxx, and Ray Davies, among others.
Although Paloma was dropped by the record label and the release of her album was postponed, she continued to work on it, and signed a contract with the RCA Records. So, her second studio album “Fall To Grace” was released in 2012, and it reached No. 2 on the UK chart, while also achieving double platinum status in Britain, increasing her wealth by a large margin, and in the US,reaching No. 170 on the Billboard 200 chart. She then toured UK and also became a part of the reality competition show “The Voice UK”, as one of the four guest mentors.
Paloma’s third album entitled “A Perfect Contradiction” out came in 2014, reaching No. 2 on the UK chart as its predecessor, and once again achieved double platinum status in Britain. The album was released in the USA as well, through Epic Records, peaking at No. 176 on the Billboard 200 chart. Her next tour lasted from August 2014 until May 2015, which also contributed to her net worth.
To speak further about her musical career, since the tour ended, Paloma has been working on her fourth studio album, scheduled for release in November 2017, under the title “The Architect”, which will certainly increase her fortune.
Apart from her career as a musician, Paloma has also tried herself as an actress, making her debut film appearance in the role of Andrea in the comedy “St. Trinian’s” in 2007. Two years later she was cast as Tinker Bell in the Academy Award- nominated fantasy adventure “The Imaginarium Of Doctor Parnassus”, starring alongside Christopher Plummer, Lily Cole and Heath Ledger. Most recently, she portrayed Tinker Bell in the 2015 film “Peter And Wendy”, increasing further her net worth.
Regarding to her personal life, Paloma Faith was married to Rian Haynes from 2005 to 2009. In 2016, she gave birth to a daughter, fathered by partner Leyman Lahcine.
