Padraig P. Harrington was born on 31 August 1971, in Dublin, Ireland, and is a professional golfer, best known for playing on the PGA and European Tours. He’s won three major championships including the PGA Championship and two Open Championships. All of his efforts have helped put his net worth to where it is today.

He won the 1996 Peugeot Spanish Open, and during the next few years, he placed second consistently in various tournaments, but won the 1998 Irish PGA Championship which led him to make a Ryder Cup debut the following year. In 2000, he got two European Tour wins at the Brazil Sao Paulo 500 Years Open and the BBVA Open Turespana Masters Comunidad de Madrid. 2002 continued to be a successful year for Harrington in the European Tour; he won the Dunhill Links Championship and got nine top ten finishes, ending with a second place finish on the Order of Merit, and appeared in the 2002 Ryder Cup thanks to his achievements. In 2003 he won the BMW Asian Open, and was invited to the Target World Challenge hosted by Tiger Woods. This marked his first win in the United States and he also won the Deutsche Bank Players Championship of Europe.
In 2004, Padraig won the Omega Hong Kong Open and the Linde German Masters. This was his fourth consecutive year in which he ended in the top 5 in the world. He qualified once again for the 2004 Ryder Cup, then the following year joined the PGA Tour. He played less on the European Tour, but won the 2006 Alfred Dunhill Links Championship. This was a prelude for his Open Championship Success. In 2007, he won The Irish Open, becoming the first home winner of the Open in 25 years.
Harrington won his first PGA Tour Championship at the Honda Classic. He then won the Barclays classic, but withdrew from the Open Championship due to his father passing away. In the 2007 Open Championship, he would become the first Irishman to win in 60 years. He successfully defended his title the following year, and would win the PGA Championship just three weeks after that, becoming the first person from Ireland to win it, which secured his position as the number one player in Europe. 2009 would be a bad year for him as he had his first winless year in a decade. His next win would be at the Iskandar Johor Open in Malaysia. In 2012, he won the PGA Grand Slam of Golf, and won the Honda Classic three years later. One of his latest endeavors is representing Ireland at the 2016 Summer Olympics.
For his personal life, it is known that Padraig married Caroline in 1997, and they have two children. He has undergone laser eye surgery to improve his game. Harrington does charity work too, becoming a Global Ambassador for Special Olympics. He is also a patron of the Oesophageal Cancer Fund (OCF), ever since his father passed away from the disease.
