Olivia Munn Wiki Biography
Lisa Olivia Munn was born on 3 July 1980, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma USA, of Vietnamese (mother) and British and German (father) ancestry. She is a television personality and presenter, actress, model, comedian, as well as an author, whose career began in 2004.
So just how rich is Olivia Munn? According to sources, Olivia’s net worth is estimated to amount to $15 million, as of late-2017, with the main source of her wealth being her career in the entertainment industry.
Olivia Munn spent most of her childhood in Tokyo, Japan, as her mother married her stepfather who was a member of US Air Force and was stationed for a while in Japan. Around this time, Olivia started her career as a model and worked in the fashion industry until her parents separated. Munn then returned to Oklahoma with her mother, and was educated at Putnam City North High School, matriculating to attend the University of Oklahoma, majoring in journalism with minors in Japanese and dramatic arts.
Olivia graduated with a BA degree in journalism, and before pursuing an acting career worked as a sideline reporter and had an internship at KJRH-TV in Tulsa, but soon moved out to Los Angeles in order to follow her dream. One of the first films that Olivia appeared in was the low-budget horror movie called “Scarecrow Gone Wild, that features Ken Schamrock and Tara Platt. Some of Munn’s other early on-screen appearances include “Strip Poker”, the teen drama series “Beyond the Break”, as well as “The Road to Canyon Lake”. These laid the basis to her net worth.
In 2006, Munn was given a position as a co-host on a live television program that primarily focused on reviewing video games and digital media, entitled “Attack of the Show!”, on which she worked alongside Kevin Pereira. Munn remained on the show for four years, until she was replaced in 2010, but during her time Munn had also been participating in many other projects. In 2007, Olivia had a role in Rob Schneider’s comedy film “Big Stan”, and later appeared in “Iron Man 2” with Robert Downey Jr. Munn’s versatile and frequent on-screen appearances have made a significant impact on her net worth.
In 2010, Munn worked as a correspondent for “The Daily Show”, and that same year starred alongside Zachary Levi and Yvonne Strahovski in the television series “Chuck”. More recently since 2015 she has voiced the character Phoebe Callisto in the animated series “Miles from Tomorrowland” on Disney Junior, and in 2016 was cast as Elizabeth Braddock/Psylocke in “X-Men: Apocalypse” to be reprised in the sequel “X-Men: Dark Phoenix” in 2018, adding to her net worth.
Even though Olivia Munn’s acting career is the main source for her wealth, it is not the only way she has managed to accumulate her net worth. Munn has been modeling for such famous brands as skin care and cosmetics distributor Neutrogena, Pepsi, as well as Nike, and has been a regular face on the covers of several magazines – Olivia has been featured as the Babe of the Month for Playboy, the bi-monthly magazine “Complex”, “Men’s Health” and an Italian issue of “Vanity Fair”.
As mentioned, Olivia Munn is also an author; her book entitled “Suck It, Wonder Woman: The Misadventures of a Hollywood Geek” was published in 2012, and added somewhat to her net worth.
In her personal life, Olivia dated actor Joel Kinnaman (2012-2014), since when she dated NFL quarterback Aaron Rodgers until recently. A strong supporter of PETA’s organization, Olivia Munn has modeled for several of their campaigns in order to attract attention to animal cruelty issues.

Olivia Munn Quotes
- [on her role as Psylocke in X-Men: Apocalypse (2016)] Psylocke is such a powerful, lethal character. It was important for me that I was able to do all of the stunts because the more believable it is, the better it is for the audience – and the only way to make it believable is for me to actually do it.
- I come from a family that would talk about X-Men as if it were the Civil War. Every week, we would go get the comic books. It was our childhood.
- I love Wonder Woman as much as I love Batman. But obviously, a little bit more because she’s such a strong female figure, and there aren’t that many strong female superheroes out there.
- It seems weird but I drink. I drink when I work out. I literally hate working out. My friends ask me if I want to go hiking up Runyon Canyon in Los Angeles and I’m like “Why? I have the new Kinect. Why would you want to go outside? Why would you like to climb up a mountain?” I really do drink when I work out. I have to trick myself into thinking I’m doing something fun. I wouldn’t run if there was a fire. I wouldn’t run anywhere. I hate running. I know I’m curvier – I know I’m small, but I’m not ripped. But I make a choice to be that way. I realize my arms aren’t as toned as Halle Berry’s but I don’t want them to be.
- I never tried to use anything besides my own sweat and blood and talent to get somewhere. I think that anyone who’s out there trying to bring down why any woman would get anywhere, or why we’re different, just needs to fucking turn her fucking computer off, take the sandwich out of her mouth and go for a goddamn fucking walk. You know what? Just walk it off, bitch. Just walk it off, bitch.
- [on what being an Internet celebrity feels like] At first it was like an old man luring in little girls with candy… You go in and it’s like “Oh, candy! They’re saying nice things! And then it’s like “Oh, God! Anally raped.” That’s not what I wanted. I just wanted the candy. And I got candy, but oh, it’s not worth it.
- The word “geek” today does not mean what it used to mean. A geek isn’t the skinny kid with a pocket protector and acne. There can be computer geeks, video game geeks, car geeks, military geeks and sports geeks. Being a geek just means that you’re passionate about something.
- I’m easy to hate. I get it. When I first came to L.A., I would go to these commercial auditions for Target. I’m 110 pounds now, but I used to be 135. And I would go to these auditions and these girls would be, like, in that effortless L.A. look: T-shirt, jeans and flats. So thin they’d just walk with a shuffle. I know what it’s like to not think it’s fair for someone to look a certain way and also get the dream job. But it’s ridiculous to say that a woman can’t be funny and also be sexy.
