Nicholas Aaron Young was born on 1 June 1985, in Los Angeles, California, USA. He is a professional basketball player known for being in the National Basketball Association’s(NBA) team the Los Angeles Lakers roster. Prior to joining the NBA, he also played college basketball for the University of Southern California Trojans. His career in basketball has raised his net worth to where it is today.

He was involved in an issue surrounding Gilbert Arenas’ possession of firearms in the locker room. Young was found making gun gestures with a few teammates and was fined $10,000 for the antics. He played for the Wizards for five seasons until he was traded to the Los Angeles Clippers in 2012. In his only season, he helped the Clippers reach the play-offs for the first time in six years, but his contract ended soon after.

He eventually signed a one year deal with the Philadelphia 76ers, but had an uneventful season, and the following year, he signed with the Los Angeles Lakers, and would record career-highs in points per game and assists. By the next year the Lakers and had Nick signed to a four-year $21.5 million contract which significantly boosted his net worth. He missed the first 10 weeks of the 2014-2015 season due to an injury with his right thumb, but later he would go on to make a season high 29 points against the San Antonio Spurs.

Aside from basketball, Young has been involved in a documentary called “Second Chance Season”, which focused on his career, exploits, successes and failures.
