Michael Redd was born on the 24th August 1979 in Columbus, Ohio, USA and is a former professional basketball player, who played as the shooting guard in the NBA for the Milwaukee Bucks (2000-2011) and Phoenix Suns (2011-2012). Redd was invited to the All-Star game in 2004 and also won the gold medal at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing with the US national team. His career started in 2000 and ended in 2012.

In 2008, Michael was a part of the US national team that won gold at the Olympics in Beijing, but in January 2009, he suffered devastating ACL and MCL injuries in his left knee, and was forced to miss the rest of the season after appearing in only 18 games.
