Born Michael Burton Brown on the 5th March 1970, in Columbus, Ohio USA, Mike is a basketball coach, who currently serves in the position of the assistant coach of the Golden State Warriors of the National Basketball Association (NBA). During his career he has also been assistant and head coach of the NBA teams San Antonio Spurs, Cleveland Cavaliers and Los Angeles, among others. His career has been active since the late 1990s.

He then returned to Cleveland, but unfortunately he recorded his worst season as a head coach, winning 33 games and losing 49. As a result, Mike was again fired.

Most recently, Mike was hired as the assistant coach to Steve Kerr at the Golden State Warriors, actually often taking over as Kerr suffered a back injury. Mike subsequently lead the Warriors to the title, ironically against the Cavaliers in the final, and with the best-ever post season record of 16-1.
