He is a manga artist, widely known for creation of the most popular and best-selling manga series worldwide, entitled “Naruto”. He is also recognized for working on anime films, particularly “Road To Ninja: Naruto The Movie”, “Boruto: Naruto The Movie”, and “The Last: Naruto The Movie”. His career in the entertainment industry has been active since 1995.
Have you ever wondered how rich is Masashi Kishimoto? According to sources, it is estimated that the overall size of Kishimoto’s net worth is over $20 million, which has been accumulated through his career in the entertainment industry spanning more than 20 years.
Masashi Kishimoto was raised with his identical twin, Seishi Kishimoto, who is a manga artist as well. He started drawing while he was a child, under the inspiration of anime shows he then watched with his brother, like “Doraemon”, “Kinnikuman”, and “Dragon Ball”. Over the years, his idol became the author of “Dragon Ball” Akira Toriyama, and he was also a big fan of “Weekly Shōnen Jump”, the magazine in which it was published. In high school, Kishimoto was enthralled when he saw a poster for the animated film called “Akira”, and he decided to create his own manga character, so he then he enrolled at an art college. In his sophomore year, Kishimoto started drawing shonen manga for magazine contests: one of his characters was manga named “Karakuri”, which won the Hop Step award. Soon afterwards he met the designer of the manga “Ninku”, Tetsuya Nishio, who had effect on him, and his career as a professional manga artist began.
Although best known for creating the anime serial “Naruto”, Masashi struggled for a few years, before emerging onto the big scene of manga comic books. In 1995, his first publication was by Shueisha in the form of Karakuri, and which earned him honorable mention by the publishing company. Building his net worth had begun.
In 1997, he sent a pilot of Naruto to the Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine, soon received positive critiques for his work, and started developing the comic book further. Two years later, a new version of Naruto was published and put into series, starting in September 1999 and lasting until November 2014, the Naruto comic had more than 700 chapters, which was collated into 72 volumes. The sales of the comic were reportedly as high as 300 million copies across the world, increasing Masashi`s net worth by a large margin.
Thanks to Naruto, his net worth increased as he was also a part of the Naruto films, such as “Road To Ninja: Naruto The Movie” (2012) , “The Last: Naruto The Movie” (2014), and “Boruto: Naruto The Movie” (2015). To speak further of Masashi`s success with Naruto, he has also published several guide books such as “Naruto: Tales of a Chaste Ninja” (2015), “Naruto: Kakashi’s Story” (2015), “Naruto: Tales of a Gutsy Ninja” (2010), and others, all sales of which increased his net worth.
Besides Naruto. Masashi created “Mario”, released in 2013 in the Jump Square, for which he received Rookie of the Year award.
In 2009, he was involved in character design for the video game Tekken 6, which also increased his net worth.
Speaking about his personal life, Masashi Kishimoto apparently married in 2003, and has one son. In 2014, when his father died, Masashi dedicated the 668th chapter of “Naruto” to him.
