Kyle Richard Gass Wiki Biography
Kyle Richard James Gass was born on the 14th July 1960, in Castro Valley, California USA, and is an actor, and a member of the rock band Tenacious D, in which he plays the guitar and provides background vocals. He is often called KG, My Brother Kyle Kage of Rage Kage – the latter nickname refers to his calm personality. He has been active in the entertainment industry since 1993.
How much is the net worth of Kyle Gass? It has been estimated by authoritative sources that the overall size of his wealth is as much as $1.5 million, as of the data presented in the middle of 2016. Music, television and films are the main sources of Gass’ net worth
To begin with, Kyle grew up in Walnut Creek, California, with his brothers Mitchell and Matthew. At the age of twelve he began playing his first instrument, the flute, and soon after the saxophone, and an old nylon string guitar. During his appearance on “Late Night with Conan O’Brien” on the 15th November 2006, Kyle Gass said he was the youngest graduate of the Juilliard School of Music with a classical guitar studies degree at the age of thirteen.
While Gass began his music career at a young age, he also started his acting career early. His first role he played in a 7Up commercial, while still at high school. After matriculating from Las Lomas High School in 1978, Kyle enrolled at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). There he met the actor Tim Robbins, who recruited him into the Actor’s Gang. Kyle graduated from UCLA in 1986. In 1984, a sixteen year-old boy named Jack Black was one of the new recruits to the Actor’s Gang; Kyle didn’t like Jack at first, but the two finally surpassed their differences and became good friends. Kyle taught Jack to play the guitar, and the two quickly formed a group they called Tenacious D. After a few performances they produced six short comedy films for the channel HBO, which can be found on the first DVD Tenacious D “The Complete Masterworks”. In 2001, they released their first self-titled album, from which the song “Tribute” was a big hit. In 2004, the band released the song “Fuck Her Gently”, then in 2006, the band made the film “Tenacious D in the Pick of Destiny”. In 2012, the lords of Tenacious D gave a performance during the German ‘Rock am Ring’ festival alongside artists such as Metallica, Linkin Park, The Offspring, Soundgarden, Motörhead, Evanescence and Marilyn Manson which had more than 85,000 visitors. All these projects added to Kyle’s net worth.
In addition to this, the Kyle Gass Band was launched in 2011. The band has released two studio albums, and is active up to date.
In addition to this, Gass has worked as an actor since 1990, and has appeared in more than 30 feature films and more than 20 television series. Kyle is known for starring in “The Cable Guy” (1996), “Dead and Gone” (2008), “Extreme Movie” (2008), “Beverly Hills Chihuahua 3: Viva La Fiesta!” (2012), “Circus” (2015) and many others. Kyle Gass had a recurring role in the sitcom “The Jake Effect” (2006). These roles have also contributed to his net worth.
Finally, in the personal life of the musician and actor, he is in a long-term relationship with Tracy Young.
