Collins played football professionally from 1995 to 2011.
How much is the net worth of Kerry Collins? It has been estimated by authoritative sources that the outright size of his wealth is as much as $39.5 million, as of the data given in mid-2017. NFL is the major source of Collins net worth.
To begin with, Kerry spent his academic career representing the Nittany Lions of Penn State. He won a number of trophies in 1994, including a team victory in the Rose Bowl.
Concerning his professional career, Collins was chosen the 5th overall in the NFL Draft 1995 by the Carolina Panthers. In three seasons with the Panthers he threw 7295 yards, for 39 touchdowns and 49 interceptions, with a passer rating of 65.6. In his second season, he led the Panthers to the final of the NFC. Due to alcohol problems, he was released in 1998. Collins began the following season as the second quarterback with the New York Giants behind Kent Graham. In 2000, Collins led the Giants reached Super Bowl XXXV led by Collins, but were defeated by the Baltimore Ravens. In 2001, Collins set an unwanted record with 23 fumbles in a single season, however, in 2002 Collins established the new Giants franchise record for pass yards in a single season with 4,073 yards; this record was surpassed by Eli Manning in 2011.
After five seasons, Collins was unencumbered by the Giants in 2004; after being released, Collins signed a three-year contract for $16.82 million with the Oakland Raiders. Collins was initially backup to Rich Gannon in 2004, but later became the starter in week three when Gannon was injured, however, after a 7-21 record with the Raiders in two seasons, Collins was freed in 2006.
The same year, Collins signed a one year contract with the Tennessee Titans. After three gamcs, all lost by the Titans, Collins had completed less than half of his passes and launched only one touchdown against six interceptions, but after Vince Young was injured against the Jacksonville Jaguars in the autumn of 2008, Collins finished the game instead and was appointed the holder for the rest of season 2008. Collins subsequently became the 15th player in history to pass the 35,000 yard pass in a career, playing with the Titans until 2010. Having announced his retirement in the middle of 2011, the following month Collins signed a contract with the Indianapolis Colts to act as a backup for Peyton Manning, who was recovering from a neck injury. In the spring of 2012, he was released, finally retiring at the age of 39 years, and in11th place of all time with more than 40,000 yards in the passing in 195 games.
Of course, all his years playing contributed to the rise of his net worth.
Finally, in the personal life of Collins, he has been married to Brooke Collins since 2002, and they have a son. His career was effected somewhat because he had a battle with alcoholism early in his career, for which he successfully went through rehab.
