Keri Lynn Hilson, commonly known as Keri Hilson, is a famous American dancer, singer and songwriter, as well as an actress. Keri Hilson rose to prominence as a member of a collective of songwriters called “The Clutch”, which was founded in 2004. The group consisted of Keri Hilson, Ezekiel Lewis, Patrick Michael Smith, Balewa Muhammad and Candice Nelson. Over the years, “The Clutch” has written such popular singles as “One Less Lonely Girl” performed by Justin Bieber, Mary J. Blige’s “Take Me as I Am”, “Radar” performed by Britney Spears, and Jesse McCartney’s “It’s Over”.
Aside from writing songs for other artists, Keri Hilson has also succeeded in launching her own singing career. In 2009, Hilson debuted with “In a Perfect World”, which spawned eight singles, among which were “Knock You Down”, “Return the Favor” and “Slow Dance”. Upon its release, the album sold more than 94,000 copies and was later certified Gold from the RIAA. In addition to receiving generally positive reviews, “In a Perfect World” earned Hilson two nominations for Grammy Awards, namely Best Rap/Sung Collaboration and Best New Artist.

Nevertheless, the album was met with rather favorable reviews, and even managed to produce four singles. Hilson’s contributions to the music industry have been awarded with BET Awards, MOBO Awards, and Soul Train Music Awards.
Aside from music, Keri Hilson launched an acting career. More recently, in 2013, she appeared alongside Vin Diesel, Matt Nable and Dave Bautista in David Twohy’s sci-fi film called “Riddick”.
