Tahir Domi was born on 1 November 1969, in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, of part-Albanian descent, and is best known as an ex- professional ice hockey player, in the National Hockey League (NHL), as ‘an enforcer’ for several teams – he has more penalty minutes than any other player in the history of the Toronto Maple Leafs, but all of his efforts have helped put his net worth to where it is today.

Tie played minor hockey for the Belle River Rink Rants,part of the OMHA. Later on, he played in the Great Lakes Junior C Hockey League with the Belle River Canadiens, then at the age of 16 he moved up to the Western Junior B Hockey League, playing with the Windsor Bulldogs. He eventually signed to the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) and was selected by the Peterborough Petes.
