Jill and her older brother were raised by their grandmother and father David, who was a U.S. Marine, since their mother passed away soon after Jill was born. She went to Ledford Senior High School, located in Wallburg, North Carolina, and upon matriculation enrolled at North Carolina State University, from which she earned a bachelor’s degree in business management. Also, she attended Barbizon Modeling and Acting School in Raleigh, and during her days at the school, she was named Miss Barbizon. After graduation, Jill moved to California where she started pursuing her modeling career, soon after her arrival being chosen to appear in the MTV series “Punk’d, featuring in six episodes of the highly-popular show, which jump-started her career. Soon she got into the Maxim Hot 100 Women of 2004 list at 90th place, while in 2005 she was selected as the Ford Motor Company’s Mercury brand spokesmodel, and featured in television ads for the company for the next six years, which increased her wealth to a large degree.
After the successful start of her modeling career, Jill tried herself as an actress, and landed a minor role in the TV series “Monk” in 2004. The same year, she made appearances in TV series “Dr. Vegas”, and “Quintuplets” (2004), and was then cast as Krista Starr in the TV action fantasy series “Blade: The Series”, followed in 2008 by the horror thriller “Splinter”, next to Shea Whigham and Paulo Costanzo. That year was quite successful for Jill, since she was also chosen to be the co-host of the show “Wipeout”, serving in the position until 2014, which only increased her wealth. Co-hosting kept her rather busy, but she also stayed active as an actress, and in 2011 landed the role of Kate Argent in the TV series “Teen Wolf”, until 2014 appearing in 18 episodes of the award-winning series. After her stint in the show ended, Jill started receiving attention from directors and producers and soon was cast in the made-for-television film “Autumn Dreams” (2015), and the same year also featured in the family drama “Christmas in the Smokies”.
