Jerry Hall Wiki Biography
Jerry Faye Hall was born on the 2nd July 1956, in Gonzales, Texas USA and is a fashion model and an actress widely known for cooperation with high fashion labels as well as appearances in numerous movies and TV series.
Have you ever wondered how rich Jerry Hall is? According to sources, it is estimated that Jerry’s net worth is $15 million, as of early 2016, including an 8.1 km2 ranch in Lone Oak, Texas, and a family mansion valued at £5 million in Richmond, London, UK, all of which has been acquired through her two careers, and a very lucrative divorce.
Jerry Hall was raised in the suburbs of Dallas, in Texas, by her mother Marjorie, a medical records librarian, and father John P. Hall, a truck driver, alongside her twin sister and three older sisters, including Cyndy Hall, also an actress. Jerry’s ancestry is mostly English, Irish and Dutch, but also includes Native American Cherokee.
After matriculating from North Mesquite High School and attending the Kim Dawson Modeling school at the age of 16, Jerry left home to pursue a modeling career. Using insurance money received after a car accident, and carrying only a suitcase full of Frederick’s of Hollywood lingerie, she moved to France. She was spotted by fashion agent while sunbathing on a Saint-Tropez beach, and moved to Paris where her modeling career officially began. With long, natural blonde hair and a height of almost 6ft(1.80m), Jerry was quickly listed among the top models and is one of the most photographed supermodels to this day. Her career progressed rapidly as did her net worth – as she was earning $1000 a day.
During her modeling career, now spanning almost 40 years, Jerry Hall has collaborated with reputable brands in the fashion industry, such as Vivienne Westwood, Chanel, Burberry and H&M, appeared on covers of more than 40 magazines including Playboy, Vogue, Cosmopolitan and Elle, and performed in numerous musical videos. All these engagements have certainly impacted positively on Jerry Hall’s overall net worth.
Along with modeling, Jerry Hall has also made some efforts in the entertainment industry – movies and TV series. Her first appearance on the big screen was in “Urban Cowboy”, a 1980 western romantic drama with John Travolta and Debra Winger. In 1989, Jerry Hall played a side role in Tim Burton’s “Batman” opposite Jack Nicholson. Apart from cinemas and television, you could also have watched Jerry Hall in various Broadway performances such as “The Graduate”, where her role of Mrs. Robinson featured some nude scenes. So far, Jerry Hall has been cast in over 25 movies and TV series, of which the most famous are “Married with Children”, “Cluedo” and “Popetown”. She even holds the world record for most theatrical appearances in one night – five! All these ventures added a significant sum to Jerry’s net worth.
When it comes to her personal life, it has been as equally thrilling as her career. Jerry Hall was engaged to famous English musician, Bryan Ferry, however, she left him for the frontman of Rolling Stones – Mick Jagger. Jerry and Mick were in a relationship from 1977 until they attended an unofficial private marriage ceremony in Bali, Indonesia in 1990. Although they were never officially married, they somehow officially divorced in 1999, after Mick’s alleged infidelity. From this marriage, Jerry Hall got four children, two daughters and two sons, as well as a significant increment to her net worth – she sought half of Mick Jagger’s $300 million, but has settled for “only” $10 million.
After that, Jerry Hall was romantically connected to George Waud, British movie executive, and banker Tim Attias. Since March 2016, she has been married to media mogul and business magnate, Rupert Murdoch.
