Born as Isaac Isidore Bruce on the 10th November 1972 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida USA and is a retired American Football wide receiver who spent sixteen seasons in the NFL, playing for the Los Angeles/St. Louis Rams from 1994 to 2007, and San Francisco 49ers from 2008 to 2009.

Isaac went to Dillard High School located in his hometown, where he started his football career. In his senior year he earned All-County selection with 644 receiving yards from 39 caught passes. After high school, he wanted to enroll at Purdue University and play for the Purdue Boilermakers, however, his results at SAT weren’t good enough for Purdue, and instead he enrolled at West Los Angeles College. He didn’t stay long there, as he transferred to Memphis State University, and before that he attended Santa Monica College. While at Memphis State University, Isaac recorded 1,586 receiving yards from 113 receptions, which was enough for 15 touchdowns. He graduated with a degree in physical education in 1994.
He then declared for the NFL Draft and was selected by the Los Angeles Rams as the 33rd overall pick. He signed his first professional contract on the 14th July 1994 worth $1.75 million over 3 years. In his rookie season, Isaac played in 12 games and caught 21 passes for 272 yards and scored three touchdowns. This performance earned him Carroll Rosenbloom Award for being the team rookie of the year. The following season, the Rams moved to St. Louis, which turned out the career-high season for Isaac in receiving yards, receptions, and touchdowns, as he caught 119 passes for 1,781 yards, and had 13 touchdowns. His result was second to Jerry Rice who had 1,848 yards in one season, and won him the Rams MVP award. He continued in the same rhythm through the next season, leading the NFL with most yards at 1,338 and 84 receptions, which earned him his first Pro-Bowl appearance. Unfortunately, in the upcoming years, his great form was stopped by hamstring injuries, but he bounced back in 1999, with 77 receptions and 1,165 receiving yards for 12 touchdowns. Also, that season, he and the Rams won the Super Bowl by defeating the Tennessee Titans 23-16.
Before the new season started, Isaac signed a new contract with the Rams, worth $42 million over seven years, which increased his wealth to a large degree. He continued with great performance and led his team to another Super Bowl in 2001, however, this time they were the losers, as the New England Patriots won the game by the tight margin 20-17. He stayed with the Rams until the end of the 2007 season, when the front office decided to release him, instead of paying him a bonus of $1.5 million.
He soon enough found new engagement, signing a contract with the San Francisco 49ers worth $6 million over two years. He re-signed with the 49ers in 2009 for one more season and was traded back to the Rams, so he could retire as a Ram.
