Isaac Hempstead-Wright Wiki Biography

Isaac Hempstead-Wright is a young British actor, best known for his role as Bran Stark in the HBO hit television series “Game of Thrones”, which has earned him several nominations such as Screen Actors Guild Awards and Young Artist Awards.

Have you ever wondered how rich Isaac Hempstead is, as of early 2018? According to authoritative sources, it has been estimated that Isaac’s net worth is as high as $4 million, earned through his acting career, active since 2011.

Isaac was born on the 9th April 1999, in Kent, England, and attended Queen Elizabeth Grammar School in Faversham. Isaac revealed his talent as an actor when he joined a drama club, actually to avoid having to play football. Soon afterwards he started acting in commercials, which was the first step to establishing an acting career. He then entered the Kent Youth Theatre in Canterbury to study acting.

After starring in commercials for a period of time, Isaac’s film debut was in 2011, in the role of Tom Hill, one of the main characters in the horror film “The Awakening”. He then made an appearance in the crime thriller “Closed Circuit” in 2013, and “The Boxtrolls” in 2014, an animated fantasy film in which he gave his voice to one of the characters. A big career break for Isaac was to join the initial cast of the highly-acclaimed TV fantasy drama series “The Game of Thrones”, in the role of Bran Stark one of the children of Eddard and Catelyn Stark from the first to the fourth season, and he returned in the sixth after a one season break. The role made him widely known immediately due to popularity of the production, and brought him four nominations, including Scream Award for Best Ensemble, Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance both in 2011, and Young Artist Award for Best Performance in a TV Series (Supporting Young Actor) and Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in Drama Series in 2013.

Furthermore, Isaac had a voice-over episode in Family Guy, and recently confessed that he would like to be in the “Sherlock” TV show after “Game of Thrones” is wrapped up.

As for his personal life, he’s good friends with Maisie Williams and Sophie Turner, his colleagues from “Game of Thrones”. Thanks to the “Game of Thrones” fun club watching him with close attention, many assumptions have been made, but studying and acting probably leaves Isaac no time for any personal affairs, since this topic hasn’t been mentioned in the media. In 2017 Isaac enrolled at the University of Birmingham to study math; he pays for his studies from savings from his “Game of Thrones” salary – he has said that he hopes to gain a PhD.

Isaac Hempstead-Wright Quotes

  • [on performing in movies] It wasn’t like I ever said, ‘I want to be an actor’. I was in the right place at the right time. I went to a local drama group because I found football on the weekends too cold – which is highly ironic because I’ve had some of the coldest experiences of my life filming ‘Game of Thrones’. So I went to this group, enjoyed the drama games and the make-belief stuff, but I wasn’t really a hard-core thespian. Then there was open casting and it so happened I got the role [Eggs]. It was the coolest: three weeks Northern Ireland, playing on this medieval adventure playground, getting thrown out of windows. Picking up beheaded heads. It was the coolest.
  • ‘Joffrey’ is this completely insane young kid who’s been given this absolute power over people’s lives, and he’s been corrupted absolutely. It’s a study of the social consequences of war that, sadly, isn’t too far from a lot of the actual state of the world.
  • [on performing in ‘Game of Thrones’] I think it’s pretty much every teenager’s dream to be able to step into a world of swords and beheaded heads and, like, skulls everywhere. I think it’s really cool, walking around on set and there’s a line of dead bodies beside you, which you can go and take pictures of. I find it great fun.
