Greg Lauren Dana Smith was born on 6 January 1970, in New York City, USA, of Jewish descent. Greg is a fashion designer, painter, and actor, but best known for being the nephew of the famous fashion designer Ralph Lauren. (Greg’s father Jerry Lauren is the Executive Vice President of Men’s Design at Ralph Lauren.) However, he’s appeared in numerous television shows, and all of his endeavors have helped put his net worth to where it is today.

Greg has also forayed into acting and made his debut in the early 1990s as part of “Melrose Place”, and later appeared in the series “The Young and the Restless” portraying Brett Nelson. He’s also been a part of several films including “Boogie Nights”, “Friends & Family”, and “The Wedding Planner”. Other projects he’s been a part of include “The Practice”, “Batman Forever”, “Time of Fear”, and “Batman & Robin”. These opportunities have helped in increasing his net worth.

In 2011, Lauren launched his own fashion brand named after himself, and featuring ready-to-wear collections for women and men. The collection features various types of clothing, even including hand sewn clothes, and clothes which featured specialty Japanese paper. The collection was picked up by various specialty stores in the United States, including Barneys New York. He also opened a retail installation called “Barracks”, which included repurposed military fabrics.

For his personal life, it is known that Greg married actress Elizabeth Berkley in 2003 in Mexico; she’s known for being a star on “Showgirls”. The couple has a son born in late 2012.
