Evan Wallace Marriott Wiki Biography

Evan Wallace Marriott was born on 15 July 1974, in Virginia Beach, Virginia USA, and is a reality television personality, still best known for being the star of the first season of “Joe Millionaire” in 2003. The show would become highly popular, and since then he’s appeared in films as well as other television shows. All of his endeavors have helped put his net worth to where it is today.

So just how rich is Evan Marriott? As of early-2017, sources inform us of a net worth that is at $1.5 million, mostly earned through success on television. Other shows he’s been a part of include “Miss Castaway and the Island Girls” and “See Jane Date”. As he continues his career, it is expected that his wealth will also continue to increase.

Marriott attended John B. Dey School in Virginia Beach, and then Hargrave Military School but dropped out because he thought that the teacher was too strict. Later, he would start working as a construction worker. before finding work on television.

Evan started becoming known and increasing his net worth when he was cast to be the lead of “Joe Millionaire”. The show started airing on Fox in 2003, and had the premise that Marriott was a bachelor who had inherited millions of dollars, and was looking for a potential bride. The show’s idea was intended as a spoof of The Bachelor. In the show, he had to take various women on dates to luxurious locations, then eliminating them one by one. The catch is that the millionaire thing was only a ruse, and the women don’t know that Evan was just a construction worker. After all the contestants were eliminated except for one, the secret is revealed and the woman chooses whether or not to stay with him. If they do stay together, they are rewarded with a million dollars.

The show became highly popular, and holds the record of the most-watched episode of any reality show since “Survivor”. The show made the manservant Paul Hogan popular, and at the end of the show, it was Zora Andrich who was left standing. They stayed together and split the $1 million, increasing their net worth significantly, but their relationship did not last. The show would go on to produce “The Next Joe Millionaire”, and a British version which didn’t gain the same amount of popularity.

In 2004, Marriott would go on to host the GSN show “Fake a Date” which wasn’t very popular, so he went back to working as a contractor, but also appeared in the film “See Jane Date” which is based on the book of the same name. He was also cast in the film “Miss Cast Away and the Island Girls” which is a comedy film featuring Michael Jackson’s final scripted performance. Around a decade later, Evan would appear in the “FOX’s 25th Anniversary Television Special”. In an interview, he has now expressed his contempt for reality television series.

For his personal life, it is known that Marriott did indeed have a brief relationship with Zora Andrich. He also had a relationship with Lisa Ligon which lasted from 2003 to 2006. Not much else is known about his personal life, which he manages to keep private.
