Dizzee Rascal Wiki Biography
Dylan Mills, commonly known by his stage name of Dizzee Rascal, is a famous English songwriter, record producer, singer, as well as a rap artist. Dizzee Rascal is perhaps best known to the public as the performer of several popular hits from his debut album “Boy in da Corner”. At the age of seventeen, Rascal went on to release his very first studio album under the Matador Records label. The success of the album was immense, as it received highly positive reviews and was praised by many critics. “Boy in da Corner” spawned three singles, one of which, namely “Fix Up, Look Sharp” peaked among the top twenty singles on the charts and was even featured on the soundtrack of a teen drama series “Skins” with Kaya Scodelario, Lily Loveless and Jack O’Connell, as well as a documentary film “Rize”.
In addition to highly successful singles, Rascal’s debut album earned him the Mercury Prize, making Rascal the first ever rap artist to achieve such an honor. Featured in the “1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die” book, “Boy in da Corner” was the key element to Dizzee Rascal’s success. A famous rap artist, how rich is Dizzee Rascal? According to sources, Dizzee Rascal’s net worth is estimated to be $3.5 million. The majority of Dizzee Rascal’s net worth and wealth comes from his rapping career. Dizzee Rascal was born in 1985, in East London, England, where he was raised by a single mother. Prior to the release of his debut album, Rascal worked a number of jobs, such as a DJ on a radio station. Soon enough, Rascal was greeted with the success of his debut album, however, he did not spend much time enjoying the limelight. A year later, in 2004, Rascal came out with his second studio work “Showtime”, an album that helped him firmly establish his role in the music industry. “Showtime” was released to generally positive reviews and, having produced three singles, was certified gold.
