Gucci Mane Wiki Biography

Radric Delantic Davis was born on 12 February 1980, in Birmingham, Alabama USA, and better known by his stage name of Gucci Mane, is a rap artist. Gucci Mane’s debut dates back to 2005, when he released his first studio album “Trap House”. The album peaked at #101 on the Billboard 200, yet it managed to top the Billboard Heatseekers chart, and some of the songs even received radio airplay. More albums followed, and soon Gucci Mane became a well-known face in the music industry.

So how rich is Gucci Mane, then? According to sources, Gucci Mane’s net worth is estimated to be as low as $100,000. Gucci Mane’s net worth began decreasing due to a variety of tax issues he was facing. However, his income has stood up well: in 2011, Gucci Mane’s earnings amounted to $300,000, as he earned $20,000 from the sales of his album and $28,000 was added from touring. More recently, in 2013 Mane earned $100,000 for his role in the movie “Spring Breakers”, as well as $36,000 from his album sales.

Gucci moved to Atlanta, Georgia with his mother when he was nine. Mane’s passion for poetry when he was young apparently inspired him towards music, and to rapping in particular when he was only 14 years old. As previously mentioned, Mane’s success began with the release of his debut album “Trap House”, which featured the single “Icy” with Young Jeezy which became very popular and brought him the most attention. However, that same year Mane served a jail sentence for an assault and was even charged with the murder of Pookie Loc, who allegedly attacked Mane and his friends. The charges were soon dropped as insufficient evidence was presented and Gucci Mane was released from jail in 2006. However, Mane’s alleged criminal behavior would follow him throughout his career.

The same year that he was released, Gucci Mane came out with a new album entitled “Hard to Kill”, which spawned one single. Mane’s major success came in 2009 with the release of “The State vs. Radric Davis”, which peaked at #10 on the Billboard charts and sold over 424,000 copies worldwide. Following this success, Gucci Mane released “The Appeal: Georgia’s Most Wanted”, which soon became the highest charting album that Mane has ever released, peaking at #4 on the Billboard 200 chart. The album that spawned one single featured such guests as Nicki Minaj, Pharrell Williams, Bun B, as well as Wyclef Jean among others. These albums added significantly to his net worth.

So far, Gucci Mane has released a total of eleven studio albums, in addition to which and his rapping career, in 2012 Gucci Mane made his film debut in “Birds of a Feather”, and a year later starred in the comedy and drama film “Spring Breakers” alongside Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens, James Franco and Ashley Benson, which also helped raise his net worth, however temporarily.

Most recently, in 2014, Mane was charged with the illegal possession of a gun to which he pleaded guilty and was sentenced to three years jail. He also released a statement saying that he was almost completely broke due to the aforementioned IRS issues. He has only recently regained his freedom, however, he managed to release albums while ‘inside’, and when freed immediately released “First Day Out Tha Feds, ” the swift release of which drew intense interest.

In his personal life, Gucci Mane married model Keyshia Ka’oir in 2017, and is believed to have a son, but there are no details of any relationships.
