David Villa Sanchez was born on 3 December 1981, in Langreo, Spain, and is a professional soccer player, best known for being the captain and striker of New York City FC. He is also known for his nickname, El Guaje, and all of his efforts have helped put his net worth to where it is today.

He signed a four year contract with Barca and was given a salary worth seven million Euros per season. Many fans anticipated his arrival and he would continue to put in great performances during his time there. He was named “Male Athlete of the Year” by the United States Sports Academy, and would help Barcelona win the UEFA Champions League final.
