Dhani Jones was born on the 22nd February 1978, in San Diego, California USA, and is a retired professional American Football player, who played linebacker in the NFL for the New York Giants (2000–2003), Philadelphia Eagles (2004–2006), and Cincinnati Bengals (2007–2010). Dhani also hosted the TV series “Dhani Tackles the Globe” (2009-2010) and “Ton of Cash” (2011). His playing career started in 2000 and ended in 2010.

Dhani Jones grew up in Maryland where he went to the Cabin John Middle School in Potomac, and played basketball while there. Jones later moved to Winston Churchill High School, where he played football and wrestling, and then enrolled at the University of Michigan. While there, Jones won the National Championship in 1997, playing alongside the Heisman Trophy winner Charles Woodson, and finished the season with 90 tackles and six sacks. In the next two seasons, Dhani recorded 153 additional tackles, before the New York Giants selected him in the sixth round of the 2000 NFL Draft.

Jones stayed with the Giants until 2003, when he joined the Philadelphia Eagles as a free agent in 2004, where he was a part of the team which reached Super Bowl XXXIX, but the Eagles lost 21-24.

Philadelphia released Jones in late April 2007, so he signed a deal with the New Orleans Saints the following July, with thoughts of securing a starting job, but the Saints’ hierarchy didn’t think so, and they cut him on the 1st September 2007.

Only 18 days later, Dhani agreed on a one-year deal with the Cincinnati Bengals, but after a solid first season in Ohio, he extended the deal to an additional three seasons. After the 2010 campaign, the Bengals didn’t offer him a fresh deal and Jones became a free agent, and eventually retired from pro football in October 2011.

In 2010, Jones hosted the Travel Channel’s show called “Dhani Tackles the Globe’, which follows Jones and his lessons on how to play international sports that are unknown to the Americans. He also hosted VH1’s show “Ton of Cash” in 2011, and most recently, Dhani worked on CNBC’s “Adventure Capitalists” in 2016.

Dhani Jones owns the Bow Tie Café in Cincinnati, which sells drinks, cafe sandwiches, and coffee, and has additionally increased his net worth. Some of his other business ventures are the creative agency called Proclamation, and is a chairman of the investment fund, Qey Capital Partners, both of which are located in Cincinnati.
