David Silveria Wiki Biography
David Randall Silveria was born on the 21st September 1972, in Alameda, California USA, and is a drummer who is most famous for being one of the founding members as well as a former drummer of popular American nu metal band Korn (often stylized as KoЯn). He is also widely known for being the drummer of the now disbanded music group, INFINIKA.
Have you ever wondered how much wealth this drums expert has accumulated so far? How rich David Silveria is? According to sources, it is estimated that the total of David Silveria’s net worth, as of early 2017, exceeds the sum of $20 million, acquired through his career in the music industry which has been active since 1989.
David’s interest in music and drums dates back to his early age of nine when he played drums for the first time. At the age of 13 he joined his first band, local L.A.P.D. but later was recruited by Infectious Grooves with which he briefly played before returning to L.A.P.D. When the group re-located to Los Angles, Silveria dropped out of South High School in Bakersfield and moved to LA too. Their debut studio album “Who’s Laughing Now” was released in 1991, and featured 11 songs, which venture provided the basis for David Silveria’s net worth.
In 1993, David teamed with his L.A.P.D. bandmates Reginald Arvizu and James Shaffer, and together with Jonathan Davis and Brian Welch he founded Korn, a nu and alt metal band. They began touring Huntington Beach’s club scene, and later that year released their demo album, “Neidermayer’s Mind”. Although the album was released in a limited printing and was poorly received by the critics, it marked the Korn as the pioneers of the nu metal sound. Their official, eponymous album hit the charts in 1994, and was a huge commercial success, peaking at No. 1 on the Heatseekers Albums chart. Not only that it was well received by critics and audiences, but it also helped Korn to establish the new wave of metal music and this success helped David Silveria to increase his net worth considerably.
Due to a wrist injury, David Silveria was forced to skip parts of Korn’s “Sick and Twisted 2000” as well as “Summer Sanitarium” tours, but was able to fully perform on their fifth studio album “Untouchables” which was released in 2002. However, after the “See You in the Other Side” tour in 2006, Silveria announced that he was leaving the group to go on hiatus. He spent the next several years away from music and drumming, during which he guided himself toward the restaurant business. He launched a steak house and a sushi bar in Huntington Beach, California, which he later rebranded as Silveria’s Rock Bar. It is certain that this business enterprise left a positive impact on David Silveria’s net worth.
In 2012, Silveria returned to music and began performing with an experimental rock band named INFINIKA, which in 2014 released their debut album entitled “Echoes and Traces”, but in the early 2015, the band dissolved. In 2016, Silveria officially announced and presented his new band, Core10, which is currently recording its first studio album.
When it comes to his personal life, David Silveria was married to Shannon Bellino, between 1997 and 2002, with whom he has two children. Later, he married Victoria.
In 2012, Silveria was arrested for driving under the influence of sleeping pills, and pleaded guilty.
