According to authoritative sources, it has been estimated that the total size of David’s net worth is currently as high as $19 million, which has been accumulated through his successful involvement in the sports industry as a professional football player and coach of football teams.

David Carr was raised with two younger brothers in the San Joaquin Valley by his parents Sheryl and Rodger Carr, who was an athlete; one of his brothers is Derek Carr, who is also an NFL player. He went to Valley Oak Elementary School in Fresno, California, after which his family moved to Bakersfield, where he attended Stockdale High School. While there he played for the school team, and earned All-League honors, as he set 16 school records.

David played college football in the position of quarterback at Fresno State, from 1997 until 2001, winning the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award in his senior year; furthermore, he finished fifth in the competition for the Heisman Trophy. He finished his college career with 7,849 yards and threw for 70 touchdowns. His professional career began in 2002, when he was selected as the 1st overall pick by the Houston Texans in the NFL Draft. Upon arriving at Houston, Carr signed a rookie contract with the Texans, however, no data is available when it comes to the amount, but taking the fact that he was 1st pick, it certainly increased his net worth by a large margin. Although his game numbers were at a high level, the team`s general manager wasn`t satisfied with the team`s overall performance, and as a result David was released.
