He’s also the narrator of the reality television series “Mountain Men”. He’s been active in the industry since 1985, and all of his efforts have helped put his net worth to where it is today.
How rich is DB Sweeney? As of late-2017, sources inform us of a net worth that is at $2.6 million, mostly earned through success in acting. He’s also appeared in numerous films, and as he continues his career, it is expected that his wealth will also continue to increase.
DB grew up in Long Island, New York. He was educated at Shoreham-Wading River High School, and after matriculating went to Tulane University but transferred to New York University where he completed a Fine Arts degree in 1990.
Even before graduating, he starred in the Broadway revival of “The Caine Mutiny Court Martial”, then more opportunities started opening up for Sweeney which would increase his net worth. He firstly guest starred in “The Edge of Night” and “Spenser for Hire” – based on the “Spenser” novels – then found film work playing a soldier during the Vietnam-era, in “Gardens of Stone”. He was also cast in “Memphis Belle” playing pilot 1st Lt. Phil Lowenthal. In 1993, he played Travis Walton in “Fire in the Sky” which is based on the book “The Walton Experience”. Other projects he was a part of include “The Cutting Edge”, “Eight Men Out”, and “Lonesome Dove” playing Dish Boggett, the film based on the novel of the same name.
In 1997, DB then became a regular cast member of “C-16”, in which he would stay for a year. His net worth started to increase significantly, aided by his voice-acting work in Disney’s “Dinosaur”, and also starring in “Life as We Know It” as Michael Whitman. In the 2000s, he started to do more television work, appearing in an episode of “House” as Dr. House’s ex-bandmate Crandall. He also appeared in “Jericho”, “Castle”, and “Criminal Minds” in which he had a recurring role as US Marshal Sam Kassmeyer. In 2008 he became a part of “Crash”, and two years later played Carter in “The Event”.
Sweeney continued to build on more voice over work for the Oprah Winfrey Network. He also voiced for the three seasons of “Beyond the Glory” as well as “Ice Pilots”. He started to get offers for ad campaigns too, which boosted his net worth even further, working with Coca Cola, Major League Baseball and Bud Light. In 2010, he became a part of the series “Universal Dead” which was also made into a feature film. Two of his latest projects include “The Legend of Korra” and “Mountain Men”.
