Reed reasoned his poor performance during 2010 season was to being a new dad, besides his close friend Andrew McFarlane’s death. He withdrew from the Supercross competition after a collision with other racers which broke his hand. In Newcastle, Australia he won the first round of Super X, then went back to the USA to test many different types of bikes, planning for a powerful competition in AMA Supercross in 2011, which he started by forming his new team, this time getting support from Honda.
